Viettel supports people and customers in flood areas with 100 billion VND

The Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) has supported people and customers affected by Typhoon Yagi with a total value of about VND100 billion. Of which, Viettel contributed VND20 billion to the Ministry of National Defense fund and VND80 billion in services provided to people directly affected by natural disasters.

Viettel directly supported service fees into the accounts of more than 2 million customers and established emergency contact for people and rescue teams in severely affected areas. Viettel prioritized establishing new contact and providing hundreds of phone SIM cards in communes and districts where landslides occurred to ensure communication for rescue teams, such as Phuc Khanh commune, Nam Luc commune (Lao Cai), Ca Thanh commune (Cao Bang).

With many efforts, up to now, Viettel network has been completely restored in the northern mountainous provinces.

Along with support for communication connections, Viettel made about 3,000 trips, transporting about 7,500 tons of goods and necessities to provinces affected by the storm. Viettel maintained the operation of post offices to receive goods and necessities from organizations and individuals supporting the people... and Viettel provided 500 phone charging points in areas with power outages.
