On June 24, within the framework of the program to attend the 15th Annual Pioneers Conference of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Dalian City, China, Minister of Information and Communications Nguyen Manh Hung had a working session with Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong to strengthen bilateral cooperation activities in the coming time.

At the meeting, the two Ministers shared major strategic development orientations of each country on digital economy and digital transformation, and discussed new initiatives and cooperation programs to expand cooperation activities between the two Ministries and organizations and businesses of the two countries.

Chinese Minister of Industry and Information Technology Jin Zhuanglong expressed his pleasure at meeting Minister Nguyen Manh Hung again after the previous meeting in December 2023, highly appreciating the activities the two sides are carrying out to implement the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two ministries signed at the end of 2023, during the official visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

In the context of new technology applications being commercialized very quickly, promoting the digital transformation process of industries, the two Ministers agreed to continue to promote cooperation between relevant organizations and enterprises of the two sides, especially testing and applying technologies such as automation, AI, and 5G applications in various fields.

The two Ministers also agreed to increase the exchange of delegations of leaders and experts from both sides, organize seminars and thematic forums to share information and discuss, and open up cooperation potential.
