"This conference is an opportunity for Vietnam Airlines to emphasize and raise awareness of the special importance of building a safety culture within the organization, and an opportunity for industry leaders and aviation management agencies to propose solutions to issues related to safety, operations and infrastructure to improve safety for the world aviation industry," said Mr. Le Hong Ha, General Director of Vietnam Airlines.

Mr. Willie Walsh, IATA Director General, said that as the host airline, Vietnam Airlines is demonstrating a strong commitment to the common goal of sharing and improving understanding and knowledge of aviation safety.

Safe, integrated and shared destination

In 2022, IATA held the Cabin Ops Safety conference in June 2022 in Lisbon, Portugal and the Safety conference (formerly known as the Safety and Flight Ops Conference) in October 2022 in Dubai, UAE.

However, this year there was a difference when IATA decided to combine the two conferences to organize a joint event under the name of IATA Global Safety and Operations Conference, which is also the first time IATA has organized a comprehensive event on general safety work of the aviation industry and more specifically, taking place at a time when the issue of ensuring absolute safety is put first as airlines are focusing all resources to resume operations during the market recovery period after the Covid-19 pandemic.
