According to National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, the 10th session of the Vietnam-Iran Joint Committee will consider establishing an effective payment mechanism between the two sides and the two countries need to consider the barter payment option.

On August 9, in Tehran, Iran, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received Chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Selahvarzi and a number of businesses in the fields of construction materials and pharmaceuticals.
Chairman of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture Selahvarzi was pleased to welcome National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue and the high-ranking delegation of the Vietnamese National Assembly to Iran.
He said that in May 2023, Iran was honored to welcome a Vietnamese business delegation to visit the EXPO exhibition and the Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mining and Agriculture and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry established a business chamber of the two countries to promote trade and investment.
The President of the Iranian Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture emphasized that Iran can provide Vietnam with products of its strengths such as construction materials, pharmaceuticals and asphalt; and suggested that Vietnam soon sign an agreement on plant quarantine to remove difficulties for the country's fruit exports.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue highly appreciated the role and extensive network of the Chamber with 34 branches nationwide, affirming that the Agreement signed between the two countries' National Assemblies recently will create a framework for the two countries' chambers of commerce and industry to promote cooperation in trade and investment.
The National Assembly Chairman affirmed that the economies of the two countries do not compete but complement each other with great room for cooperation and development. Vietnam currently has a synchronous legal system that is constantly updated and supplemented to create the best conditions for investors, including Iranian investors.

The National Assembly Chairman emphasized that the memorandum of understanding on plant and animal quarantine signed between the two countries' Ministries of Agriculture will help facilitate the export of goods to Vietnam. The National Assembly Chairman said that Vietnam has a huge demand for asphalt and petrochemical products.
National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue suggested that the two countries send business delegations to attend exhibitions and fairs to learn about each other's investment environments. The National Assembly and the Government play a constructive role, while success or failure depends on the businesses themselves.
