The beauty of the place known as the 'green pearl' in Ha Tinh

(Dan Tri) - Vu Quang National Park is considered a "green gem" because it is known as the most biologically diverse center in Vietnam.

Vu Quang National Park (Ha Tinh) was established on July 30, 2002 by decision of the Prime Minister. The park is located in the northwest of Ha Tinh province, 55km from Ha Tinh city.

The park has a total natural forest area of ​​over 57,000 hectares, of which the special-use forest area is over 52,000 hectares. This is the most important watershed area of ​​Ha Tinh province, the major rivers (Ngan Truoi, Ngan Sau, Ngan Pho...) all have their source in Vu Quang National Park.

Vu Quang National Park is known as the most biologically diverse center in Vietnam. It preserves many valuable genetic resources for conservation. The park is located in a globally prioritized ecological region, identified as extremely important for the conservation of biodiversity for the entire Truong Son range.

The garden has 1,828 species, belonging to 217 families of higher plants. The fauna has 94 species of mammals, 315 species of birds, 89 species of amphibians and reptiles, 88 species of bony fish, 316 species of butterflies...

With its biodiversity, in October 2019, at the 6th ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHP) Conference held in Pakse City (Laos), Vu Quang National Park was officially declared and awarded the title "ASEAN Heritage Park" by the AHP Council and the ASEAN Biodiversity Center (ACB).

Vu Quang National Park also has the potential to develop ecotourism activities with many interesting landscapes. Nature has bestowed this place with a majestic picture-like beauty, attracting the curiosity of local people and visitors.

According to the representative of Vu Quang National Park, in recent years the unit has built an eco-tourism development project.

If the project is approved and receives attention from the provincial government and relevant agencies, the park will attract many investors. At that time, Vu Quang will become an ideal destination and a major source of revenue for the budget.
