According to Market Research Future, the global AI camera market reached a size of 20.1 billion USD in 2022 and is expected to increase to 23.1 billion USD in 2023.

The annual growth rate is predicted to reach 15.2% during the period from 2023 to 2032. This growth comes from the need to monitor and manage commercial stores, improve business efficiency as well as enhance customer experience.

Smart city operations using AI cameras

At the Tech4life event recently held in Ho Chi Minh City, VNG Digital Business, a company under VNG, introduced a solution using AI cameras to operate smart cities in the Vietnamese market called Veka.ai.

This is also a solution used to ensure security in the area, and integrating AI into security management is an advanced solution to improve the performance and reliability of current security systems, when AI is capable of analyzing and processing data from surveillance cameras, sensors and other information sources to detect security incidents automatically and quickly detect intrusions and trace abnormal behavior.

In some areas where events are particularly frequent, proactive detection and analysis of appropriate crowd behavior from AI can minimize risks to human life and property.

In addition, AI also detects suspicious objects, providing a search engine for objects that are already on the suspicious list or new objects that are not yet in the data and need to be added to the watch list.

The administrator can drag and drop the subject's image so that the AI can analyze the image of the face and body, and even if the subject changes clothes, the system will still recognize it.

In addition, Veka.ai's AI solution is also used to analyze data from traffic cameras to detect unusual incidents such as running red lights, driving in the wrong lane, detecting traffic jams, setting management goals to prevent accidents, incidents, etc.
