With the message "Thank you Vietnam - Always love", Uniqlo organizes a series of customer appreciation activities with many attractive gifts taking place across the retail and online store system from November 29 to December 5, 2024.
Looking back on Uniqlo's 5-year journey in Vietnam, Mr. Nishida Hideki - General Director of Uniqlo Vietnam shared: “5 years has been a proud and memorable journey for all of us. In 2019, we officially opened the first Uniqlo store in Vietnam, and after 5 years, Uniqlo has been present in major cities across the country. This is an important milestone when the Uniqlo brand has always received the support and trust of Vietnamese customers.”
Exclusive collection with Vietnamese character
Uniqlo has collaborated with The Walt Disney Company to bring the “UT Mickey Mouse in Vietnam” collection, inspired by traditional cuisine and costumes. The collection celebrates the uniqueness of Vietnamese street culture with patterns recreating the image of conical hats, ao dai, and dishes such as banh mi and fried fish and beef balls.
The collection includes 4 designs for both men and women, available from November 29, 2024 at all 26 Uniqlo retail stores in Vietnam and Uniqlo Online.
In addition, with the spirit of honoring Vietnamese identity, Uniqlo also collaborated with young artist Chung Pham to launch the collection “UTme! Folklore Chronicles”. The collection is designed with unique folk motifs, recreating familiar images such as: a pair of shoulder poles, cyclo and water puppetry, bringing a cultural breath that is close but impressive and modern.
Talking about the collection “UTme! Folklore”, young artist Chung Pham shared: “As a Vietnamese, I am proud to say that Vietnam is a country with a unique folk culture that many people do not have many opportunities to access. From the perspective of a young person, and also an artist who loves using folk materials to express through the language of painting, I wish to bring these long-standing cultural features closer to more young people and international friends”.
The “UTme! Folklore Chronicles” collection will be available at Uniqlo Dong Khoi, Uniqlo Saigon Centre (HCMC), and Uniqlo Vincom Pham Ngoc Thach, Uniqlo Hoan Kiem (Hanoi) stores from November 29, 2024.
