Attending the meeting were comrade Bui Thanh An - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, branches, localities; leaders of the Party Committee of the Business Bloc; Federation of Commerce and Industry, Nghe An branch; Provincial Business Association and Business Associations.
FOCUS ON TIMELY RESPONDING TO BUSINESS RECOMMENDATIONS
At the conference, the leaders of the Department of Planning and Investment reported on the settlement of petitions according to the announcement of the Provincial People's Committee in June 2023. Accordingly, the number of petitions requiring settlement is 16 petitions, under the authority of 9 agencies and units. To date, the Department of Planning and Investment has received a written report on the settlement results of petitions from 9 agencies for 16 petitions.
The recommendations focused on issues of site clearance in Area A - Nam Cam Industrial Park and handover of infrastructure assets of Nam Cam Industrial Park; adjustment of coastal roads to the land for implementing the High-quality Residential Area Project in Quynh Nghia Commune (Quynh Luu); difficulties and obstacles in mineral export; land lease procedures for enterprises.
Enterprises also made recommendations on investing in fire prevention and fighting systems according to new standards; making a list of beneficiaries of social housing policies; resolving financial difficulties for enterprises; removing investment procedures for the Thang Lien Sea Tourism Project in Quynh Lien Commune, Hoang Mai Town; and resolving problems with the connecting road at the Southern Bus Station (Vinh City).
In addition, in early September 2023, the Department of Planning and Investment received 9 new petitions from Business Associations and enterprises. To date, the Department of Planning and Investment has received written responses from agencies and units to 9/9 of these petitions.
The recommendations focused on issues related to resolving encroachment on forest land in Nghia Dung commune, Tan Ky district; taxes and land rent; auctioning the Nghi Phong Gas Station project in Nghi Loc district; connection plan for the Gas Station project in Khai Son commune, Anh Son district; requesting the Vinh City People's Committee to pay for goods purchased to fight the Covid-19 pandemic.
The enterprise also requested to speed up the construction progress of road sections in Cua Lo town; request Vinh City People's Committee to pay the money assigned to organize land auctions; calculate the additional payment during the time the project's progress is extended at Cua Tien - Vinh Tan New Urban Area (Vinh City); disburse for projects that have been put into use, and investors still owe contractors.
At the conference, representatives of Business Associations and enterprises raised a number of recommendations regarding issues related to land tax, investment procedures, construction material price announcements, and adjustments to Resolution No. 51 of the Provincial People's Council on a number of policies to support social housing construction investment projects in the province... Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Bui Thanh An and leaders of departments, branches and sectors discussed and clarified the recommendations of enterprises.
THE PROVINCE ALWAYS ACCOMPANIES ENTERPRISES
Concluding the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung assessed that since the June meeting, 13/16 recommendations from businesses and Business Associations have been answered and resolved by departments, branches, and localities; 3 recommendations are being considered and resolved.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the business community in the province in recent times when the general situation faced many difficulties. The spirit and viewpoint of the province is to always accompany businesses to find ways to remove obstacles and difficulties in accordance with legal regulations.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also emphasized Nghe An's consistent viewpoint: The difficulties and obstacles of enterprises are also the difficulties and obstacles of the province. On the other hand, enterprises must also share with the province, together with the province to overcome the difficult period to achieve development goals.
The head of the provincial People's Committee said that Nghe An is a locality with many difficulties, but in recent times the province has made efforts to improve the investment and business environment and support enterprises. Therefore, the recommendations of enterprises under the authority of the departments, branches and sectors must be resolved immediately, without waiting for the meeting. For issues beyond the province's authority, based on the synthesis and consultation of the departments and branches, the provincial People's Committee will report and recommend to the Central Government for resolution.
Regarding the recommendations of enterprises at previous meetings, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to closely follow the conclusions of provincial leaders to resolve. The viewpoint is to create favorable conditions for enterprises to develop, thereby creating momentum for the province to develop.
Regarding the new recommendations of enterprises, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee said that the departments, branches and localities have responded and provided guidance on how to resolve them. Therefore, it is recommended that enterprises work directly with the departments, branches and localities to receive guidance on how to resolve them according to regulations.
At the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung discussed and clarified recommendations, assigned specific tasks to departments, branches, and localities regarding responding to recommendations from businesses and Business Associations; and at the same time hoped that businesses would continue to accompany the province for development goals.
