After the reorganization, Quang Nam province will merge into 13 specialized agencies.

On February 17, the Office of the People's Committee of Quang Nam province announced that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee had submitted Document No. 1061/TTr - UBND requesting the Provincial People's Council to issue a Resolution approving the structure of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee.

According to the proposal, the plan to rearrange the specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee is as follows: Merge the Department of Planning and Investment and the Department of Finance, the new name is the Department of Finance; merge the Department of Transport and the Department of Construction, the new name is the Department of Construction. Merge the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (DARD), the new name is the Department of Agriculture and Environment; merge the Department of Information and Communications and the Department of Science and Technology, the new name is the Department of Science and Technology.

Merge the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs and the Department of Home Affairs, the new name is the Department of Home Affairs; merge the Department of Foreign Affairs into the Provincial People's Committee Office; establish the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions on the basis of the Ethnic Minorities Committee receiving additional functions, tasks, and organization of the state management apparatus on beliefs and religions from the Department of Home Affairs.
