From BIM Group's sustainable development vision
After 30 years of sustainable development, the green mark is always present in every step, as well as the 4 business pillars of BIM Group. Taking pioneering steps in high-tech agriculture, BIM Foods has invested in more than 2,200 hectares of industrial salt production, 1,600 hectares of aquaculture, improving sustainable livelihoods for thousands of farming households.
BIM Energy develops 4 clusters of solar and wind power plants, producing nearly 1 billion kWh per year and reducing 600,000 tons of CO2 emissions, together with BIM Foods to create the largest green economic complex producing clean electricity and clean salt in the country on 2,500 hectares. Along with that is the Elite Fitness sports club chain and BIM Lifestyle's clean cuisine restaurants, forming elite communities sharing a healthy lifestyle.

However, the sustainability mark is most evident in the real estate sector, with more than 5 billion USD poured into 12 hotel and resort projects by BIM Land, changing the face of many pristine lands. In the past 3 years, the investment portfolio has become even greener after the 2021 milestone - the issuance of Vietnam's first 200 million USD green bond on the Singapore Stock Exchange.
In addition, 4 high-end resort real estate projects of BIM Land have continuously achieved the EDGE "Green Building" certificate of IFC from 2021 to present. InterContinental Residences Halong Bay, Grand Bay Halong Villas, InterContinental ThanhXuan Valley, Park Hyatt Phu Quoc Residences are all energy and environmental efficient.
BIM Land continues to implement its sustainable vision through its green urban strategy. In the context that the green ratio of urban areas in Vietnam is only 10-20% of the world standard, BIM Land has recently chosen the Halong Marina urban area on the land where the group started its business to implement a model "green" strategy for real estate projects.
Strategy to "green" the most livable urban area in Ha Long Bay
Halong Marina is located on a 248ha golden land fund of Ha Long city (Quang Ninh), and has been supplemented with 85ha of trees and water surface - that is, the landscape density accounts for 35% of the total project area. To green the whole area, BIM Land has cooperated with famous international consulting units such as Coopers Hill (Singapore), Belt Collins (USA), Kume (Japan) ... to re-plan the ecological green rings for the whole area, making Halong Marina become a giant green lung of the city.

BIM Land representative said that the water surface system is diversified to the maximum with many layers of water to regulate fresh air for residents, including 2 large lakes of 40 hectares, nearly 100 swimming pools right at the foot of apartment towers, villas, clubhouses (community houses)... and 4km of coastal road to increase the water surface area for the whole area.
Green layers are being renovated throughout the project from Hoang Quoc Viet Avenue 3.5km turning into the internal road axis, weaving into each small subdivision to create green buffer zones and private, relaxing spaces, each garden corner to complete the fresh living space by the bay for the elite community of residents.
Along with that are large lawns serving residents for exercise and entertainment, complementing existing outdoor utility spaces such as squares, beachside camping areas, 4ha event areas, etc.

Healthy seedlings are selected from 2 hectares of nursery, continuously cared for by a team of 40 garden specialists. Over the past time, more than 100 species of seedlings such as hibiscus, sycamore, chrysanthemum, yellow trumpet vine, white peony, bougainvillea, and bush zinnia... have been continuously planted, providing shade for 2 EDGE-standard projects - the Grand Bay Halong Villas and the InterContinental Residences Halong Bay luxury resort apartments.
Projects that have been handed over in previous phases and attracted a large number of residents such as Green Bay Garden, Pearl Villas... are also constantly being added with more greenery and multi-layered vegetation.
Mr. Dang Van Kien, a resident of Green Bay Garden, said : "Here the air is fresh, the living environment is green, the facilities are convenient, and the security and safety are also very good. The location is near the sea, surrounded by lots of trees and the playground is spacious, so it is very convenient and comfortable for me to let my children play on the weekends."
Currently, the investor is increasing the green coverage for projects that are about to be handed over, such as the luxury villa area Lagoon Residences, the townhouses of Horizon Bay, the resort apartments ICON40... Over time, the trees are growing more and more mature, creating a life that is more and more worthy of the ecological forest and the world natural heritage bay, as well as making Halong Marina the most livable urban area in Ha Long.
