BIM Group is in the Top 10 multi-industry private corporations that contribute the most to the budget in Vietnam.
In the recently announced Top 10 ranking of multi-industry private corporations with the largest budget contributions in Vietnam, BIM Group is one of the few enterprises with agricultural production as one of its core industries.
Established in 1994, BIM Group's green footprint is reflected in four business pillars: Tourism Infrastructure Development and Real Estate; Agriculture and Food; Renewable Energy; Consumer Services.
Sustainable green by the bay
The most prominent mark affirming BIM Group's sustainable direction lies in the field of tourism infrastructure and real estate development.
With an investment strategy that creates a difference, right from the pioneering steps, BIM Group has chosen to seek out difficult lands, developing them into urban areas and tourist complexes according to international standards.
At the time BIM Group implemented the first hotel project in Ha Long and started building a coastal road connecting directly to Bai Chay, few people could imagine that now that land has the Halong Marina urban area, gathering many international luxury resort brands such as InterContinental, Citadines, Sailing Club...
Planned to be the center of Bai Chay tourist area, Halong Marina complex has a total scale of 248 hectares, stretching over 3.8 km of coastline. |
Similarly, BIM arrived in Phu Quoc when it was still a pristine island. By investing in the construction of the Phu Quoc Marina complex with a total area of 155 hectares, located in the center of Bai Truong, BIM Group has created a well-invested resort and entertainment complex destination, which is the annual venue for the international sports tournament BIM Group IRONMAN 70.3 Phu Quoc.
Cooperating with leading international resort brands such as Park Hyatt, Regent, InterContinental, Citadines, Fraser Suites, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn... BIM Land, a member of BIM Group, is one of the few domestic real estate developers that meet the strict standards of these giants.
At the same time, BIM Land is known as a prominent non-public enterprise issuing green bonds in the international market, as well as successfully accessing sustainable bond packages for investment in environmentally friendly real estate projects. Linking the project development roadmap with green capital from international financial institutions such as IFC and ADB has demonstrated the enterprise's capacity and development philosophy.
With its sustainability commitments, BIM Land’s hotels in Ha Long and Phu Quoc are expected to reduce emissions by approximately 4,000 tons of CO2 per year – equivalent to the greenhouse gas emissions from 890 gasoline-powered cars in one year.
High-tech agricultural strategy
Throughout 3 decades of development, the agricultural sector has always played a core role in the ecosystem of BIM Group. The Group is one of the largest industrial salt producers and aquaculture and seafood producers in Vietnam, with farming areas spanning thousands of hectares in localities such as Quang Ninh, Kien Giang and Ninh Thuan.

Developing on the foundation of learning and applying knowledge to business, BIM Group has created breakthrough changes for the agricultural sector: from successfully localizing Pacific oyster breeds, contributing to the development of marine farming industry in Quang Ninh; introducing to the market white-leg shrimp breeds imported from Hawaii and standard farming processes using natural microorganisms in Quang Ninh, Kien Giang to the industrial salt production model on Quan The salt field (Ninh Thuan) - one of the three largest salt fields in Southeast Asia.
Currently, BIM Foods has invested in more than 2,500 hectares of industrial salt production and 1,600 hectares of aquaculture, improving sustainable livelihoods for thousands of farming households.
Green economic complex
In early October 2021, the BIM Wind Power Plant in Thuan Nam district, Ninh Thuan province went into commercial operation, marking the milestone of BIM Group completing its strategy of developing clean salt combined with clean energy on an area of 2,500 hectares with a total investment of 12,000 billion VND.

The complex produces 300,000 tons of salt (60-70% of Vietnam's salt production) and 1 billion kWh of electricity each year, providing about 1,000 stable jobs for local workers. In addition, the complex also contributes to reducing 600,000 tons of CO2 emissions each year, contributing to the national Net-zero target by 2050.
Clean energy and clean salt at Quan The Green Economic Complex are expected to be used to develop green industries, create surplus value and optimize local resources.
BIM Group's sustainable development strategy throughout its 30 years of establishment has not only helped the Group to be stable in its production and business activities, but also demonstrated its stature and responsibility to the country through its contribution to the state budget. Entering the new decade, BIM Group continues to persevere with the goal of creating products that enhance the living values of the community and sustainable development for the lands where BIM sets foot.
