Huynh Thi My Anh (born in 2002 in Dong Nai), a student of the Faculty of Economics, Finance and Accounting, International University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, has just graduated as valedictorian with a total score of 92.8/100. What is more special is that the female student had excelled and led the candidates admitted to the school 4 years ago.
“The day I received the phone call informing me that I was the valedictorian of the school, I was very surprised. Four years later, I was even more surprised when my name was once again called for this noble title at the graduation ceremony,” My Anh expressed her happiness.

In 2020, due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, for the first and only time so far, the International University used the admission method combining graduation exam scores and academic records - the method that My Anh was admitted with a score of 28.95.
Starting out as an English major student at Luong The Vinh High School for the Gifted (Dong Nai), My Anh always wanted to use her foreign language strengths to explore new fields. By chance, during her high school years, she was assigned to take on the role of treasurer. The task of controlling money, helping teachers and classmates reconcile income and expenditure made My Anh extremely excited.

“The job of a cashier was part of the reason I chose Accounting. With this major, I have the opportunity to work with numbers, helping me understand more about financial and economic stories,” My Anh recalls about her chance to join the industry.
Wanting a teaching environment entirely in English, the 10X did not hesitate to choose International University as the destination for 4 years of youth.
In the first days of entering university, despite having excellent academic achievements, often ranked first or second in her high school, the 10X Dong Nai still felt pressured and somewhat "overwhelmed" by the new teaching method. Therefore, her first semester results were not as expected.
“In the first semester of my first year of university, I faced many difficulties and confusion when changing my environment and learning methods. I was even under quite a bit of pressure, because even though I entered the school as valedictorian, my grades were not as expected,” My Anh recalled.

After regaining her balance and adjusting her study methods, the 10X Dong Nai girl was able to really get into the rhythm of studying in the classroom. According to My Anh, when entering university, one needs to be more proactive, diligent and responsible in studying. When encountering difficult subjects or unclear issues, the female student does not hesitate to discuss with the lecturer.
The rest of the time, My Anh researches documents on her own and studies in groups with her friends. According to 10X, group study is an effective method in university, helping her understand lessons faster, grasp knowledge more firmly, and the learning process is more comfortable and less boring.
Thanks to her efforts to change her study methods, My Anh's academic results gradually improved, maintaining high scores until graduation. She was also one of the outstanding students selected by the school to receive scholarships to participate in student exchange courses in Germany and Singapore.
Right after completing her graduation thesis in August, My Anh was accepted into an Accounting - Auditing company. Sharing her future plans, the female student said she is always ready to continue her studies to gain more knowledge in her favorite major.
"I am very happy and proud to have completed a successful journey of studying, proving my efforts throughout the past time," My Anh said, adding that at the beginning of her career, when there were many uncertainties, the achievement of double valedictorian was a great encouragement for her.
