Dong A University has just held a ceremony to announce the opening of a training program for medical doctors and bachelors of rehabilitation technology at university level.
Accordingly, Dong A University has been permitted by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train in the field of Rehabilitation Engineering at the university level with Decision No. 2005/QD-BGDDT dated July 29, 2024.
In Decision No. 2198/QD-BGDDT dated August 21, 2024, the Ministry of Education and Training officially allowed Dong A University to enroll and train in the undergraduate Medicine major. Dong A University was also allowed by the Ministry of Education and Training to enroll and train in the undergraduate Rehabilitation Engineering major with Decision No. 2005/QD-BGDDT dated July 29, 2024.
Specifically, from the 2024-2025 school year, the Medical and Rehabilitation Engineering majors will officially join the Health majors of Dong A University, along with the dominant majors of Nursing, Midwifery, Pharmacy, and Nutrition. Thereby, creating more opportunities for students from Da Nang and the central region to choose to apply for university admission in the medical and rehabilitation majors.
Mr. Luong Minh Sam, Chairman of the Board of Dong A University, said that along with perfecting the combined school-institute training model, Dong A University has promoted comprehensive cooperation with Kameda Social Medical Group (Japan) to implement a Japanese-standard international general clinic project in Da Nang in the near future.
The school continues to prepare all necessary conditions to open other training majors in the Health Sciences sector, such as maxillofacial surgeon, bachelor of medical technology, public health or traditional medicine... in the coming years.

According to People's Physician, Associate Professor, Doctor, Senior Doctor Nguyen Ngoc Minh, Vice Principal, Head of Health Department of Dong A University, the medical doctor training program at Dong A University is structured for 6 years, carefully researched and updated with medical advances in the world, highly applicable, equipping students with good expertise and high clinical skills upon graduation, integrating towards global doctors to work in multinational environments.
The program is compared with national and international standard programs, aiming to connect knowledge after graduating from university (Medical Doctor level 7) and continuing with training for practice certificates, postgraduate training in 2 directions: practice (Specialist 1, Specialty 2), residency and academic (PhD students).
The Faculty of Medicine of Dong A University also invests in and operates a system of nearly 20 standardized practice laboratories along with a modern preclinical simulation center and a network of clinical practice facilities at units with advanced specialized techniques.
