Accordingly, at least two Indonesian football teams have publicly announced that they want to sign coach Shin Tae Yong. The two teams that want to recruit the Korean coach who is leading the team of the archipelago are Persis Solo and PSIS Semarang.
According to Indonesian media, one of the major shareholders of Persis Solo Club named Kaesang talked to coach Shin Tae Yong, making an offer for the Korean coach to lead Persis Solo.

"If Mr. Shin Tae Yong feels bored with leading the Indonesian national team, he can switch to coaching the Persis Solo Club," said Mr. Kaesang.
It is worth noting that, according to Indonesian media, although coach Shin Tae Yong did not immediately agree to this offer, Mr. Shin did not directly refuse.
Coach Shin Tae Yong's contract with the Indonesian Football Federation (PSSI) will last until June 2024, the end of the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers in Asia. In the second round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Indonesia is in Group F, along with Vietnam, Iraq and the Philippines.
PSSI President Erick Thohir revealed a few weeks ago that PSSI will only extend the contract with coach Shin Tae Yong for another 3 years if the Indonesian team has good results in the World Cup qualifiers and the Asian Cup (taking place in early 2024).

Before Persis Solo made an offer to coach Shin Tae Yong, another team from the archipelago, PSIS Semarang, also made an offer to this coach.
CEO Yoyok Sukawi of PSIS Semarang Club publicly stated: "If coach Shin Tae Yong terminates his contract with PSSI, we will be concerned about his future."
The news that coach Shin Tae Young may have a new destination was released right before the Indonesian team participated in the second qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup in Asia (starting from November 16), which could affect this team.
Under coach Shin Tae Yong, the Indonesian team has not won any international titles.
The last time Indonesian football achieved such an achievement was at the 32nd SEA Games held in Cambodia in May. However, at that time, the Indonesian U23 team was led by local coach Indra Sjafri, not coach Shin Tae Yong.
