(QBĐT) - In the joyful atmosphere of the first days of spring, along with young people across the country, young men in their eighteens and twenties in the mountainous district of Tuyen Hoa happily prepare to join the army, fulfilling their sacred duty to the Fatherland.

These days, Mr. Tran Van Hieu in Tan Lap ward, Dong Le town is taking advantage of his time to help his mother with some housework. Because Hieu knows that in a few days he will say goodbye to his family and hometown to join the army. Hieu's father passed away early, his mother does not have a stable job, so he has become the main breadwinner in the family. Although the family still has many difficulties, when the announcement of military service recruitment (NVQS) in 2025 was announced, Hieu enthusiastically registered to participate.

Mr. Tran Van Hieu confided: “When there was an announcement about the selection and call for citizens to join the army in 2025, I discussed it with my family and volunteered to join the military service. The army is truly a good environment for me to study, train, and mature. I believe that my youth and enthusiasm will contribute to protecting the Fatherland.”

Hieu has just graduated from Da Nang Vocational College, majoring in Information Technology. With this major, he can find a suitable job to take care of his mother and his own future. But the dream of becoming a soldier has urged the young man to join the army. Mrs. Tran Thi Hoa, Hieu's mother, said: "At first, I also wanted my son to find a stable job to start a family, but he refused and was determined to join the army. I hope he will study and train well in the military environment to serve the Fatherland, and I will take care of the work at home so that he can confidently complete his tasks well. If the family encounters difficulties, there are local villagers who will care and help."

The Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and mass organizations of Thach Hoa commune visited and encouraged the families of new soldiers preparing to join the army.

These days, the small house of young Cao Tuan Vu's family in Thiet Son village 2, Thach Hoa commune is always crowded and bustling. In addition to representatives of the Party Committee, government, departments, branches and local organizations, there are also brothers and friends who come to encourage him before the day of departure to defend the Fatherland. "I am very happy to have been selected for military service this time. In the military environment, I will always uphold the sense of responsibility and determination to complete the assigned tasks well," Cao Tuan Vu shared.

In 2025, Tuyen Hoa district selected 148 young people aged 18-27 to perform military and police service. Of these, 120 young people participated in military service and 28 young people participated in police service. After leaving, the young people will be received by the Provincial Border Guard Command, Regiment 996 under the Provincial Military Command, Brigade 134 under the Signal Corps and units under the Ministry of Public Security.

Secretary of the Party Committee of Thach Hoa Commune, Tran Kim Tuyen, said: "Before citizens leave for military service, the Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations have focused on propaganda, encouragement, visits, understanding the thoughts and are ready to help families so that the young men who have been recruited for military service can stabilize their thoughts and be determined to fulfill their sacred duty to the Fatherland."

Up to this point, the work of selecting citizens to join the army in Tuyen Hoa district has been completed. Communes and towns have issued orders to call citizens to join the army in 2025 according to the time and regulations of the Law on Military Service; organized visits, meetings and gifts to encourage new recruits before the day of departure for military service.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hung, Deputy Commander of the Tuyen Hoa District Military Command: “In order to mobilize young people to join the army in sufficient quantity and quality, the District Military Command has promptly advised the District Military Service Council to effectively implement the stages, steps, and procedures in military recruitment. At the same time, it has directed the Military Service Councils of communes and towns to do a good job of motivating and encouraging citizens before they leave for military service. The young people recruited this time are all excited, happy, and ready to wait for the day to return to their units. Preparations for the military handover ceremony in 2025 have also been completed.”
