Phu Binh 2 220kV Transformer Station Project: Striving to complete and energize by the end of March 2025

The Phu Binh 2 220kV Transformer Station and the Phu Binh 2 220kV Transmission Line connecting Thai Nguyen and Bac Giang is a key project of Vietnam Electricity Group, assigned to the Northern Power Corporation for implementation in the period of 2024-2025, in order to promptly meet the demand for load development in industrial parks in Phu Binh district in particular, the entire 110kV power grid in the South of Thai Nguyen province and neighboring areas in general.

The Phu Binh 2 220kV Transformer Station and the Phu Binh 2 220kV Transmission Line project from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang are being accelerated to complete on schedule.

The project has been implemented since September 2024, and many main items have been completed. Specifically, the 220kV Phu Binh 2 substation has completed leveling the ground, 220kV transformer foundation, construction of the operator's house, installation of the 220kV transformer... The 220kV Phu Binh 2 transmission line branching from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang has completed column foundation, column foot grounding, column foundation embankment construction, site leveling... The contractor is speeding up the construction progress of the remaining items, and is expected to pull the conductor strip from February 18.

The working delegation of the Northern Power Corporation inspected the construction progress of the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Transformer Station Project and the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Transmission Line branching from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang.

Along with the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation Project and the 220kV Phu Binh 2 transmission line branching from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang, the 4 110kV output lines after the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation are being implemented to reduce the load on the existing substation and create a loop connection, improving the reliability of power supply to the southern localities of the province and neighboring areas.

Recently, the delegation of the Northern Power Corporation inspected the actual construction progress of the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation Project and the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Transmission Line from Thai Nguyen to Bac Giang, and the 4th 110kV Outgoing Project after the 220kV Phu Binh 2 Substation. During the inspection, the leaders of the Corporation requested the contractor to establish a detailed schedule for each item, focus on human resources, machinery and equipment to ensure the completion of the above projects as planned by the end of March 2025, practically welcoming the Party Congresses at all levels.
