With a sweet, natural folk voice, good vocal technique and life experiences, singer Anh Tho has been a leading name in this music genre for many years, after People's Artist Thu Hien and People's Artist Thanh Hoa.
The female singer said that she has been planning to hold a live show to thank her hometown audience for a long time and now she has the opportunity to do it. The songs were discussed and carefully selected by her with Music Director Hong Kien. Anh Tho confided: “There will definitely be old songs, but I will also sing very new songs. In this live show, I will not only sing but also perform skits so that the audience will not get bored.”
People's Artist Tu Long and People's Artist Xuan Bac have been on stage with Anh Tho since 1998, so when they were invited, they were both excited. Xuan Bac jokingly said that Anh Tho invited him but he was still worried, so he texted her: "Bac, how much is the fee? Do I have to transfer money in advance?". Xuan Bac told Anh Tho not to worry about this because he had accepted the invitation and would put all his heart into making the performance impressive.
People's Artist Xuan Bac was the one who directly wrote the script for the skit in which Anh Tho would play the role of a junk dealer. "Anh Tho trusted me but sometimes he was hesitant and told me to remember to write her role even though it was a junk dealer, the end of the skit had to be a little cute. I told her to rest assured, the script was written by me and Anh Tho would act with me, People's Artist Tu Long and Mr. Xuan Hinh, so everything would be fine," said People's Artist Xuan Bac.
As a close friend from the same hometown and studying at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, Trong Tan expressed his joy at participating in Anh Tho's live show. "Anh Tho is full of love. She also receives favor from everyone, so she invited many male artists to participate. During the concert, I will sing a duet with Anh Tho with the hope of leaving an impression on the audience," Trong Tan shared.
In addition to guests Xuan Hinh, Tu Long, Xuan Bac, Trong Tan, the singer's live show Nang Tho Tro Ve also featured three friends from Thanh Hoa: semi-classic singer Le Anh Dung, close fellow countryman Ho Quang 8 and young folk artist Duong Bao Quang.
Young folk artist Duong Bao Quang said: “Although it has just been announced that Anh Tho will have a live show in Thanh Hoa, many friends and businesses have registered to buy tickets, and about 500 tickets have been sold. I told singer Anh Tho to focus on her expertise to sing and perform well with guests, and if this show loses money, I will compensate her, and if it makes a profit, I will use all the money for charity.”
