The People's Committee of Ha Tinh province requested departments, branches, units and localities to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 to ensure practicality, efficiency, creativity and savings.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha has just signed and issued a plan to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024.

Effectively implementing activities in response to Consumer Rights Day

Plan to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 to raise the sense of responsibility of businesses, organizations and individuals in the production and trading of goods and services.

The theme for the activities of Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 is: "Transparent information - Safe consumption". At the same time, in the process of implementing the activities, it is necessary to combine and integrate with the activities to implement Resolution No. 82/NQ-CP dated May 26, 2020 of the Government promulgating the Government's Action Program to implement Directive No. 30-CT/TW dated January 22, 2019 of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the leadership of the Party and the responsibility of State management over the protection of consumer rights and the Law on Protection of Consumer Rights.

Activities towards Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 will be implemented from November 15, 2023 to February 29, 2024. State management agencies, social organizations and enterprises need to proactively organize activities or integrate and introduce into professional activities and business activities contents to enhance consumer rights. In particular, during peak shopping days, periods and seasons, along with focusing on activities to promote business, enterprises need to develop effective tools to ensure consumer rights; build and maintain good relationships with consumers; proactively make the responsibility to quickly and fully meet the requirements and aspirations of consumers a driving force for development and a competitive advantage of enterprises in the market.

Activities in the Peak Month in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024 include: hanging banners, slogans, running text and carrying out appropriate propaganda activities at the headquarters of agencies, organizations, production facilities, business establishments, markets, supermarkets, shopping centers, on the streets; on the interfaces of e-commerce platforms, electronic information pages, stores or other forms of online business; implemented from March 5 to March 15, 2024.

Press agencies, media, and business communities in the area regularly publish news, articles, columns, and carry out propaganda activities about Consumer Rights Day on mass media, on websites, and social networking sites; organize programs to advise, support, and propagate laws on consumer rights protection.

Organize seminars, training, and propaganda on the Law on Consumer Protection and related guiding documents for businesses and business households.

Develop and publish documents, propaganda publications, and handbooks to serve activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day 2024.

Implement promotional programs and consumer appreciation programs on a number of e-commerce trading floors, e-commerce websites, organizations, individuals, and production and business establishments in the area; support product warranty, support, advice on safe and economical use of consumer products, discounts, promotions, and other appreciation activities.

Encourage and support businesses to carry out trade promotion activities and boost production and business; mobilize businesses, cooperatives, cooperative groups and individuals in production and business in the province to organize activities in response to Vietnam Consumer Rights Day.

Organize the signing of commitments to comply with legal regulations in commercial activities for organizations and individuals in production and business; provide services that ensure safety and quality for consumers; commend businesses with many activities aimed at consumers; other activities suitable to the requirements and actual situation in the locality.

State agencies shall strengthen market supervision, inspection and control activities, combat smuggling and trade fraud; promote propaganda, dissemination, reception and settlement of complaints and legitimate requests of consumers; resolutely and strictly handle acts that infringe upon the legitimate rights and interests of consumers...
