(BGDT) - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has just issued a document requesting departments, agencies, and units under the Provincial People's Committee; People's Committees of districts and cities to strengthen the implementation of the Prime Minister's Decision on approving the Master Program on Vietnamese Cultural Development for the 2023-2025 period (referred to as the Program).

Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Directors of Departments, Heads of agencies and units under the Provincial People's Committee, Chairmen of District and City People's Committees to strengthen communication about the position and role of culture, the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws on cultural development, the Outline of Vietnamese culture in 1943 and the important speech of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference in 2021.
Promote communication and widespread dissemination of the Program's key tasks to agencies, units, localities, people of all walks of life, and cultural workers, clearly defining the role of each entity in implementing the Program.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shall preside over and coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to advise the Provincial People's Committee on implementing the Prime Minister's Decision in the province, ensuring progress, quality, efficiency, and meeting the requirements set forth.
Research and advise competent authorities to issue mechanisms and policies on cultural development in the province, ensuring consistency, practicality, feasibility and effectiveness; advise and issue directive and guiding documents, effectively organize the implementation of plans, projects, programs, strategies and projects of the Central Government and the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Council on cultural development in the province.
Develop scientific dossiers of intangible cultural heritages with typical values or at risk of being lost, in need of urgent protection to be listed in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List and World Heritage. Research and deploy solutions to apply information technology and digital transformation in preserving and promoting the values of tangible and intangible cultural heritages. Strengthen direction and guidance to improve the operational efficiency of the grassroots cultural and sports institutions.
Actively advise on hosting and organizing large cultural and artistic events of national, international and regional scale; strengthen communication, promotion and advertising activities on mass media and social networking platforms about the cultural image and people of Bac Giang; the potential and strengths of the locality to domestic and foreign friends.
Along with that, the People's Committees of districts and cities pay attention to allocating resources and funding to implement the Program, ensuring effectiveness, consistency, and suitability with the needs and plans for local socio-economic development. Strengthening the direction of exploiting and promoting the effectiveness of grassroots cultural and sports institutions, meeting the needs of cultural enjoyment, and improving the cultural and spiritual life of the people.
On the morning of December 17, within the framework of the 2022 Cultural Conference, a thematic session took place with 3 main content groups: Institutions, policies and resources for cultural development. The conference heard many presentations from delegates representing ministries, branches and localities.
