A resident picked up a bag containing money, machinery, equipment and personal belongings and quickly handed it over to the commune police to find the person who dropped it.
On the afternoon of December 9, Lieutenant Colonel Ho Van Duc - Chief of Police of Huc Nghi Commune, Dakrong District, Quang Tri Province confirmed that at noon of the same day, Huc Nghi Commune Police returned property to a foreign tourist.

Earlier at 9:45 a.m. the same day, Mr. Ho Y Tuoi (born in 1979, residing in Huc Nghi village, Huc Nghi commune) picked up a bag of things at Km30, Ho Chi Minh road, passing through Huc Nghi village.
After picking up the lost property, Mr. Tuoi took it to the Huc Nghi Commune Police to report and find the owner to return the property.
This information was then widely shared on social networks and received public attention.
Thanks to that, a local resident knew the information and gave directions to the foreign guest to go to Huc Nghi Commune Police to get his property back.

At 11:50 a.m. the same day, the foreign guest who dropped his belongings went to the Huc Nghi Commune Police Station. After checking, the American guest confirmed that the bag was still full of more than 500 USD, machinery, equipment and personal belongings.
Even without an interpreter, only understanding each other through a few simple sentences and gestures, this American guest expressed his deep gratitude to the people and police of Huc Nghi commune.
"A few simple words, a smile and a like from the American guest helped us understand that he was satisfied and grateful for our actions," Lieutenant Colonel Duc shared.
