Vietnam becomes the second country in the world (except the US) in 2024 to use free online platforms for learning.
According to Khan Academy (headquartered in Silicon Valley, USA), in 2024, there will be more than 204 million learning minutes recorded on the organization's platform in Vietnam, with more than 2 million learning accounts created. With these numbers, Vietnam has risen to second place in terms of users globally, just behind Brazil and up one place compared to 2023.
Assessing the growth in the number of people and the amount of time studying online in Vietnam, Khan Academy said that it "not only demonstrates the proactive spirit of applying technology of policy makers, teachers and students but also reflects the country's great progress in digital education strategy".
According to the organization, as the government, educational institutions and communities continue to promote technological innovation, Vietnam is emerging as one of the pioneering countries in digital education, opening up more equal and effective learning opportunities for future generations.
