Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai asked businesses to pay attention to developing plans and investing resources in digital transformation and green transformation. At the same time, he affirmed that the city will always accompany businesses on the journey of green transformation and sustainable development.
On the evening of March 14, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises held a ceremony to announce and award certificates of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods voted by consumers to 529 enterprises.
Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai thanked the business community in general and High Quality Vietnamese Goods enterprises in particular for their great contributions to the city's socio-economic development.
Nearly 30 years of the High-quality Vietnamese Goods program, as someone who has been involved with the program for many years, Mr. Phan Van Mai assessed that the program is always on the right track, always updated, innovated and developed. The program not only brings direct benefits to businesses but also builds brands, enhances the competitiveness of Vietnamese products and goods. Thereby contributing to enhancing the brand and competitiveness of the city's and the country's economy.
Hopefully, organizations and individuals will continue to accompany the program to further develop, and join hands with the city for the green - clean - digital goal that the city is building.
Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai said that at the end of 2023, the city issued a strategic framework for green growth in the city until 2030. Currently, the city is focusing on building a policy framework to submit to the People's Council next July to issue policies for green growth in the city. The city has had orientations and policies for the government, businesses and people to act together, together make green transformation for sustainable development.
Awarding certificates of High Quality Vietnamese Goods to businesses
The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee requested that businesses really pay attention to developing plans and investing resources in digital transformation and green transformation. "Some businesses are very interested, but some businesses are not paying enough attention. Our attention to planning and dedicating resources to investing in digital transformation and green transformation; approaching development trends, international standards, and market standards is not only for the survival and future of businesses but also for the economy of the city and the country. The city will always accompany businesses on the journey of green transformation and sustainable development," emphasized Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai.
Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, President of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, said that the Association plans to have four main areas of work in 2024. First, support businesses in digital transformation, green transformation, and help businesses build brands while promoting green standards. Second, organize and take advantage of market opportunities to help businesses sell well, as well as equip businesses with knowledge and skills. Third, continue to connect businesses with international markets. And fourth is a communication program for policies, such as preparing to launch a new policy on digital transformation and green transformation of the city.
