The initiative emphasizes efforts to improve the quality of public services to attract tourists, while promoting the sustainable development of the tourism industry with a friendly image.
The design is inspired by the traditional beauty of Vietnamese ao dai to combine cultural sophistication and modern elements.
The identity model features two distinctive images: men in blue ao dai and women in pink ao dai. The simple yet sophisticated lines emphasize elegance and friendliness, creating a good impression on locals and international visitors.
According to a representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, in order to improve the quantity and quality of public toilets, the project is not only a step forward in improving public infrastructure, but also a way to promote the unique culture of Vietnamese ao dai.

This project is part of the solutions to implement the project "Improving the quantity and quality of public toilets in the city in the period of 2024 - 2025", in an effort to improve public infrastructure and create a new look, contributing to building a modern, civilized Ho Chi Minh City while still preserving traditional values.
The new public restroom identification model is expected to be widely deployed in Thu Duc City and districts in the near future.
According to the project, the department also mobilizes owners and management units, operators of business establishments, restaurants, hotels, food service establishments, gas stations, shopping centers, cultural and training centers, supermarkets, shops, bus stations, post offices... to agree to allow tourists and residents to use existing toilets at business and service establishments.
On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism coordinated with the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and the People's Committee of District 7 and other departments and units to organize the launching ceremony of the program "Each business unit is a friendly destination".
This is an important part of the sustainable tourism development project of Ho Chi Minh City in the period of 2025-2030. The city will issue a set of evaluation criteria with specific standards on products, services, service attitude, environmental protection and responsibility to the community.
