Kicking off the year-end activities, on the evening of December 26, 2024, Youth Union 7 launched the program "Warm Winter - Full Tet" in Soc Trang city. Accordingly, 30 gifts were handed over by young people to the uncles, aunts and children in difficult circumstances on Le Duan, Phu Loi, Tran Hung Dao streets... With a total cost of nearly 8 million VND, the activity is not only a material support but also a meaningful spiritual gift in the days before Tet.

Immediately afterwards, on December 29, 2024, the Hospital's Youth Union continued to coordinate with the Youth Union of Soc Trang Electricity Company to visit and present 22 gifts (each worth 500,000 VND) to patients with especially difficult circumstances being treated in specialized departments, contributing to bringing a warm and humane Tet holiday to the hospital.

Along with social security activities, the Hospital's Youth Union also made its mark with its efforts to contribute to the Youth Union movement. At the conference summarizing 5 years of Youth Union and Youth Movement activities in the period of 2020 - 2024, 3 groups and 14 individuals received certificates of merit from the Youth Union of Provincial Agencies and Enterprises. In addition, Youth Union Branch 3 and 64 members were commended for their outstanding contributions to movement activities.

Sharing about the results achieved, Secretary of the Youth Union Nguyen Cong Khang said: “We consider each activity an opportunity to practice, contribute and grow. From small things like wrapping cakes and giving gifts, to large-scale programs, all come from love and a sense of responsibility to the community.”

Continuing the activities to celebrate the 15th National Party Congress, 6 affiliated youth unions (1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 10) have together completed the tree planting project in the hospital campus. The image of the national flag is vividly recreated from 1,300 ruby ​​​​flowers and pearl necklaces, not only contributing to creating a green landscape but also spreading the message of patriotism and environmental protection.

In addition, the hospital's youth also expanded their activities to disadvantaged areas. In the "Spring Volunteer 2025" program held in Tai Van commune, the Hospital's Youth Union coordinated with Branch 10 and the Student Association of Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy to give 50 gifts to local people, provide free health check-ups and medicine to local people.

In particular, the Youth Union of the Provincial General Hospital organized the program "Warm Spring Season 6" at the hospital with 24 booths, more than 70 gifts worth nearly 300 million VND supported by businesses, banks and benefactors were given to patients in difficult circumstances. Patients and relatives were free to choose meaningful gifts amidst spring music and warm wishes.

Entering March - Youth Month, on March 15, 2025, the program "Mock Trial" combined with "Free Medical Examination" was held at Van Ngoc Chinh High School and Thanh Phu Commune. The propaganda session helped students better understand the consequences of violating traffic laws. On the same day, more than 150 households received free medical examinations and medicine; 12 scholarships (each worth 500,000 VND) were awarded to students who overcame difficulties to study well. The total cost of nearly 40 million VND was mobilized from socialized sources.

Continuously in the series of activities in early 2025, the Youth Union branches continued to implement many meaningful programs in My Huong and An Hiep communes. From medical examination, medicine distribution, gift giving to organizing sports exchanges, activities with the support of other units and medical students. Small gifts such as notebooks, school supplies from voluntary contributions of the Youth Union members have warmed the hearts of many rural people.

Union member Tang Hoa Hai - Union Branch 1 (Union Branch of Soc Trang General Hospital) shared: “Participating in the Union activities and youth movements brings us certain values ​​and meanings. Firstly, it is to join hands to help the disadvantaged and the unfortunate so that they can reduce difficulties in life. Secondly, it promotes the spirit of volunteerism of union members and young people, so that union members and young people can develop their potential, thereby serving their work well. In addition, the activities also help us improve soft skills, creating confidence for union members. We go not only to give, but also to receive - the smiles, the warm handshakes of the people, and the maturity after each time facing the difficulties of others. This is the valuable luggage for each union member to love their job, love life and live more responsibly”.

It can be affirmed that in a brilliant year with a series of meaningful activities, the Youth Union of Soc Trang General Hospital not only contributed to building the image of a young doctor who loves his job and is full of compassion, but also affirmed the position of a united, responsible collective, always ready to contribute to the community.
