Imbued with the Party's consistent viewpoint that "Economic development is the central task, Party building is the key task", in recent times, the Provincial Party Committee has regularly paid attention to leading, directing, and synchronously implementing solutions to build a clean and strong Party Committee, creating a foundation to gradually bring the province to rapid and sustainable development.
Strengthening Party building and political system
The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee always consider Party building as the top key task, a regular task in the short and long term; focusing on leading the drastic implementation of the task of building a clean and strong Party in all aspects.
Comrade Dinh Thi Thu Thanh, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, said: In the past time, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee have focused on leading, thoroughly grasping, and implementing the central government's policies to ensure timeliness and suitability with the local situation; promoting the role of the people as masters in conjunction with the motto "People know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise, and people benefit" in all areas of social life, contributing to strengthening and consolidating the great national unity bloc, creating social consensus in implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's policies and laws.
Identifying that streamlining the apparatus and operating effectively and efficiently is a revolution that creates momentum to bring the country into a new era - the era of national development, the Provincial Party Committee has resolutely deployed and completed the summary of the implementation of Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Party Central Committee; proposed a plan to streamline and perfect the apparatus of the political system from the provincial to grassroots levels to streamline and operate effectively and efficiently.
Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan, member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Organization Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, said: The Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee directed the project and plan to arrange the organization and personnel of Party and State agencies at the provincial and district levels to be submitted to competent authorities for approval or according to the approval authority to be completed before February 24; organize the announcement of decisions related to the organization and apparatus arrangement to be completed in February 2025.
Comrade Nguyen Quoc Hoan added: Along with the arrangement of the organizational apparatus, the stages in the personnel work have also been strictly implemented by the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, in conjunction with strengthening the control of power, combating the abuse of positions and power in personnel work; strictly implementing the management, use and streamlining of staff. In addition, the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee have also issued and led the implementation of many policies and solutions to continue improving the quality of activities of the Party organizations and the quality of the Party members in conjunction with building the political system at the grassroots level.
In particular, the Provincial Party Committee has focused on implementing Directive 35-CT/TW, dated June 14, 2024 of the Politburo on party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Party Congress; issued plans and instructions on a number of contents on party congresses at all levels towards the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030.
“The work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system; consolidating and building the Party organization, improving the quality of cadres and Party members is always focused on by the Provincial Party Committee in leadership and direction. Unlocking resources, developing the economy
Practice shows that when the Party Central Committee is clean and strong, the political system is consolidated, and its effectiveness and efficiency are enhanced, the implementation of the set goals will be more favorable. Therefore, the Provincial Party Committee always closely follows the spirit of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress in conjunction with practice to concretize them into specialized resolutions to implement key areas of local socio-economic development. With determination, solidarity and creativity, over the past time, the Party Committee and the People of Phu Yen have overcome many difficulties and challenges, and achieved some important socio-economic results.
In 2024, the province's budget revenue will reach VND 5,447 billion, exceeding the central budget estimate. The economic structure continues to shift in the right direction associated with growth model innovation; key sectors and fields develop stably. The whole province has 64/82 new rural communes (reaching 78%), of which 20 communes meet advanced new rural standards, 2 model new rural production communes, 27 model new rural villages/residential areas, 32 new rural model gardens and 4 smart new rural villages, 2 districts meet new rural standards. In 2024, the province will welcome 4.08 million tourists, reaching 120% of the annual plan; total revenue from tourists is VND 8,049.7 billion, reaching 110.7% of the annual plan. The material and spiritual life of the people is improved; National Defense and Security is ensured. This result has actively contributed to strengthening the people's trust in the Party, joining hands to build the homeland to develop more and more.
Resolution 25/NQ-CP of the Government has assigned the growth target (GRDP) for Phu Yen in 2025 to reach 8% or more. To create new resources, motivation, and capacity to contribute to achieving the above target, the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee has set out many key tasks and solutions. According to comrade Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial People's Committee will direct all levels and sectors to focus on promoting investment to create new momentum for development; promote administrative procedure reform, improve the investment and business environment, speed up the investment promotion of breakthrough projects with spillover effects of registered investors. The Provincial People's Committee will also effectively manage and use public investment resources; innovate the management model of relic sites and scenic spots from State management to private management to promote efficiency; Research and compile documents to submit to competent authorities to recognize Ganh Da Dia as a world natural heritage, gradually promoting the image of Phu Yen to domestic and foreign tourists and friends...
In addition, the Provincial People's Committee will support the promotion of exports of key export products and industries with advantages and competitiveness of the province; review and grasp revenue sources arising in the area, and enhance the exploitation of potential revenue sources...
“In the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee will continue to focus on leading and synchronously implementing tasks and solutions to build a clean and strong Party Committee in all aspects; promote administrative reform, improve indicators related to administrative reform; improve the investment and business environment; exploit and promote effectively potentials and advantages, focusing on the marine economy associated with promoting investment attraction for development, bringing Phu Yen province to develop quickly and sustainably”, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan emphasized.
Believing that in 2025, with the motto: "Innovation, creativity, flexibility, efficiency" and high political determination, the work of building and rectifying the Party and the political system of the province will continue to achieve many results, becoming a great driving force for the Party Committee, government and people of Phu Yen to successfully implement the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress, well preparing conditions to join the whole country in entering the era of national development.
