On the afternoon of August 4, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province held a conference to review the first 6 months of 2023, and at the same time deploy labor, meritorious people and social affairs, and social insurance work for the last 6 months of the year.

The whole province has created jobs for 10,581 workers, reaching 62.24% of the annual plan, including 67 workers from poor households, 75 workers from near-poor households; 1,240 workers went to work abroad under labor contracts; 186 subjects received vocational training under the National Target Program for Sustainable Poverty Reduction, including 84 subjects from poor and near-poor households.

The lives of the poor, vulnerable groups, social protection groups, and children are supported and cared for by society, thereby contributing to ensuring social security.

In the last 6 months of 2023, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Thua Thien Hue province strives to complete and exceed the annual plan targets. In particular, the focus is on drastically implementing the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction for the period 2021-2025. Thua Thien Hue also strives to implement the Project on human resource development, especially high-quality human resources for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030; the Project on rearranging public vocational training institutions in Thua Thien Hue province for the period 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030 and related sub-projects, especially the Project on establishing a high-quality vocational college in Thua Thien Hue province.
