Prime Minister approves Danang software park No. 2 near Thuan Phuoc bridge

On October 22, the Prime Minister issued a decision approving the expansion of the Danang Software Park Concentrated Information Technology Park, named Danang Software Park No. 2, located in Thuan Phuoc Ward (Hai Chau District).

According to the decision, Danang Software Park No. 2 has a total land area of ​​28,573 m2 (located near Thuan Phuoc bridge).

In the above decision, this park performs the functions and tasks of a concentrated information technology park as prescribed in Article 4 of Decree No. 154 of the Government.

Regarding incentive policies, enterprises implementing projects in the field of information technology investing in Da Nang Software Park No. 2 enjoy incentives prescribed in Decree No. 154 and other incentive policies applicable to concentrated information technology parks according to the provisions of law.

Previously, as Tuoi Tre Online reported, in February 2024, the Government also issued Decree No. 09 amending and supplementing a number of articles on investment, finance, and budget, creating conditions for Da Nang to remove obstacles for the software park project No. 2.

Decree No. 09 amends and supplements a number of articles of Decree No. 144 stipulating a number of specific mechanisms on investment, finance, budget and decentralization of management for Da Nang city.

Decree supplements Article 9a (after Article 9 of Decree No. 144) on investment, management and exploitation of infrastructure assets of Da Nang Software Park (Concentrated Information Technology Park) invested by the City People's Committee according to the provisions of the law on State budget, the law on public investment as information infrastructure assets.

Software park project No. 2 has a total investment of nearly 1,000 billion VND.

Construction began in 2020 with the expectation that upon completion, the project will provide about 6,000 direct jobs in information technology and digital technology.

Although the rough construction of the buildings has been basically completed for quite a while, the project has had to "stand still".
