Collecting oil spills that have washed ashore

After receiving reports from local people, at around 6:00 p.m. on May 5, from Ninh Chu coastal area, Khanh Hai town (Ninh Hai) to Phu Tho village, Dong Hai ward (Phan Rang - Thap Cham city), black, lumpy oil stains were discovered scattered on the shore. Local authorities and functional forces went to the scene to investigate the cause and coordinate with local people to organize the collection.

Present at the Binh Son-Ninh Chu beach area (in front of Con Ga Vang Resort) on the morning of May 6, we recorded over 50 plastic bags containing black, lumpy oil stains along the beach, collected and waiting for the vehicle of Nam Thanh Trading & Production Company Limited to transport them for disposal according to regulations.

Mr. Vo Ngoc Kha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Hai Ward (Phan Rang-Thap Cham City) said: Immediately after receiving information about the discovery of oil spills scattered on the shore on the evening of May 5, on the morning of May 6, the ward coordinated with Dong Hai Border Guard Station and the Provincial Border Guard to collect the oil spill with tools such as shovels and plastic gloves. After collecting, the locality reported to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment for handling. At the same time, continue to inspect and review the area along the coast to protect the province's marine environment. Coordinate with functional forces to find out the cause and verify information about the oil spill.
