8km from Tay Ninh city center, Thien Lam ancient pagoda, also known as Go Ken pagoda, is located on Highway 22B in Long Thanh Trung commune, Hoa Thanh district. Amidst the vast green of fields and trees, Tay Ninh people are always proud of a majestic architecture built on a high mound with an area of up to 6,000 square meters.

Thien Lam Pagoda, or often called Go Ken Pagoda by my hometown people, is one of the earliest pagodas built and is over a hundred years old in Tay Ninh. The oldest existing pagoda on the sacred land bordering Vietnam, Go Ken Pagoda is an ancient pagoda. The pagoda's architectural complex is a combination of two cultures, Eastern and Western, ancient and modern. 
The pagoda's architectural complex is divided into many areas such as the Main Hall, Bell Tower, Teaching Tower, statue areas, gardens, etc. In front of the pagoda's yard, the image of Buddha Shakyamuni meditating under the cool shade of a Bodhi tree brings visitors a sense of peace and serenity. On the other hand, the 25m high statue depicting Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara riding a dragon is solemnly placed on a white lotus throne in the middle of the lake and the sacred 25m long statue of Buddha Nirvana has become rare landscapes, not only attracting many Buddhists to visit but also stimulating the curiosity of visitors from near and far.

Inside the main hall, there is no horizontal design, no layers from front to back following the old Southern pagoda style, but instead there is a break with two rows of vertical columns, each row has 6 columns, dividing the space into 3 separate parts but still airy and spacious.

Go Ken Tay Ninh Pagoda is one of the ancient temples with a history of over a hundred years in the sunny and windy land of Tay Ninh. This pagoda currently owns the largest statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara in the Southeast region.
