On the morning of February 18, 2025, during his working trip to Hai Phong, Mr. Tran Cuong - Secretary of the Party Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (China) visited and worked at Hai Phong Port. The visit aimed to strengthen the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and China, especially in the fields of maritime and logistics, which play an important role in connecting bilateral trade.
Welcoming the delegation were representatives of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines (VIMC) and Hai Phong Port, with the participation of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Chung - Member of the Board of Directors, Mr. Le Quang Trung - Deputy General Director of VIMC and Mr. Nguyen Tuong Anh - General Director of Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company. Leaders and delegates of the two sides discussed the potential for cooperation in the fields of maritime transport, port exploitation, logistics chain development and strengthening connectivity between important port clusters in the region.
Over the years, Guangxi has been one of the localities with close cooperation with Vietnam, especially in the fields of trade and freight transport. With its strategic location, Hai Phong Port plays an important role as a gateway in the regional supply chain, connecting goods between Vietnam, China and international markets. This visit demonstrates the interest of Guangxi leaders in expanding economic cooperation and developing maritime infrastructure between the two countries, creating a foundation for sustainable cooperation in the future.
Leaders of VIMC and Hai Phong Port expressed their desire to continue strengthening cooperation with enterprises of Guangxi province, not only in the field of maritime transport but also in logistics activities and supply chain development, contributing to improving competitiveness and promoting trade between the two countries.
