11 more national intangible cultural heritages

(HNMO) - The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has just decided to add 11 heritages in the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Dien Bien, Bac Kan, Cao Bang and Yen Bai to the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.

The art of the Mong people's panpipes is included in the list of national intangible cultural heritage.

Tuyen Quang province has 4 heritages listed this time, including: Fire dancing festival of Pa Then people, Hong Quang commune, Lam Binh district; Hong Thai communal house festival, Tan Trao commune, Son Duong district; knowledge about water wheels of Tay people in Trung Ha, Ha Lang communes, Chiem Hoa district, Con Lon commune, Na Hang district, Phuc Yen commune, Lam Binh district; knowledge and practices of wet rice cultivation of Tay people in Lang Can, Hong Quang, Khuon Ha, Thuong Lam, Phuc Yen communes, Lam Binh district.

Similar to Tuyen Quang province, Dien Bien province has 4 listed heritages: Mong blacksmithing; Lao dance art in Dien Bien and Dien Bien Dong districts; clan worship ceremony of the White Mong people in Tuan Giao, Dien Bien, Dien Bien Dong districts; Ha Nhi costume making art in Sin Thau, Leng Su Sin, Sen Thuong, Chung Chai communes, Muong Nhe district.

Along with that, the heritages: Lullaby singing art of the Tay people, Giao Hieu commune, Pac Nam district, Bac Kan province; brocade weaving craft of the Tay people, Ngoc Dao commune, Ha Quang district, Cao Bang province; panpipe art of the Mong people, Mu Cang Chai, Tram Tau, Van Chan districts, Yen Bai province were also included in the List of national intangible cultural heritages on this occasion.
