Attending the meeting were representatives of the Ministry of Information and Communications; Vietnam Post Corporation, leaders of a number of departments and units under the Committee for Ethnic Minorities (CEMA) and representatives of newspapers and magazines registered to participate in the implementation of Decision 752/QD-TTg.
On June 23, 2023, the Prime Minister signed Decision 752 on providing newspapers and magazines to ethnic minority and mountainous areas, and areas with special difficulties for the period 2023 - 2025.
Accordingly, the content of information and propaganda on publications will focus on continuing to propagate resolutions, decrees, decisions, directives and conclusions of the Party, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister on ethnic affairs and ethnic policies. In particular, the focus is on the following contents: Conclusion 65-KL/TW dated October 30, 2019 of the Politburo; Resolution No. 88/2019/NQ-QH14 of the National Assembly; Decision 1719/QD-TTg dated October 14, 2021 of the Prime Minister; Resolution No. 10/NQ-CP dated January 28, 2022 of the Prime Minister. Propaganda on the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party; Resolution of the Party Congress of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities for the 2020-2025 term.
Propaganda and mobilization of people to actively participate in the patriotic emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind" and the campaign "The whole people unite to build cultural life in residential areas associated with building new rural areas". Disseminate and replicate good models, effective practices, and advanced examples in all cultural and social fields in ethnic minority and mountainous areas.
Orient information, refute false and reactionary arguments of hostile forces, be vigilant against the plot of "peaceful evolution", exploiting issues of ethnicity, religion, democracy, human rights, and taking advantage of the difficulties of ethnic minorities to incite and divide the Great National Unity bloc.
Inform, promote, propagate, and introduce the country, people, and innovation in ethnic minority and mountainous areas of Vietnam to compatriots nationwide and international friends, making practical contributions to economic and tourism development and expanding learning and exchange relationships between ethnic minorities and other ethnic groups nationwide and around the world.
Disseminate information on disease prevention and control according to the direction of the Prime Minister and the guidance of the Ministry of Health; provide full information to help ethnic minority and mountainous people change their awareness and ways to respond to the disease promptly and effectively in the new situation.
Discussing at the meeting, delegates commented that the implementation of Decision 752/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister is currently facing some difficulties and problems related to ordering publishing units and completing dossiers on price plans for newspapers and magazines.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minorities Y Vinh Tor highly appreciated and acknowledged the opinions and suggestions of the delegates to remove difficulties and obstacles related to the implementation of Decision 752/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman Y Vinh Tor requested the Propaganda Department to coordinate with relevant units to review the dossier based on the opinions expressed at the meeting to supplement the missing contents. At the same time, Deputy Minister and Vice Chairman Y Vinh Tor also requested the Ministry of Information and Communications to strengthen coordination with the Committee for Ethnic Minorities to promptly and effectively implement Decision 752/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister.
