On October 27, Ho Chi Minh City Association for Promotion of Education organized the Traditional Festival for Promotion of Education and awarded scholarships for talent encouragement (1&1 Scholarship) for the 2024-2025 school year.

At the program, 318 students received scholarships with a total amount of more than 1.6 billion VND; of which, 77 students received scholarships for the first time and 241 students continued to receive scholarships for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th times.

These are students with special circumstances, difficult circumstances, and good academic achievements.

Scholarships are implemented in the form of a benefactor (individual or organization) receiving sponsorship to grant a scholarship to a student throughout their university studies.

Participants in the program also call this "scholarship from the heart" because it carries a lot of affection between the giver and the receiver.

Luckily receiving a scholarship from a sponsor of a brother who also received a scholarship from this program, Do Minh Tri, a student of the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Ho Chi Minh City, emotionally shared that thanks to this support, he was able to continue going to school. This is a strong source of motivation for him to strive to fulfill his dream.

“We, students with difficult circumstances, all have dreams and burning ambitions. Despite the challenges in our circumstances, with perseverance and effort, we can completely overcome obstacles to go to school, study and build a bright future” – Minh Tri affirmed his determination. Over the past 24 years, the scholarship program for talent encouragement – (1&1 Scholarship) has contributed positively to training human resources to serve society.

The scholarship has connected many hearts and is growing with the joint efforts of individuals, organizations, and units at home and abroad to accompany students who overcome difficulties and love to study.

Among them, many families with members living far away donated money to the scholarship fund; many people saved up to contribute each scholarship with full of love and joined hands to create the scholarship program; many families with both parents and children participated in sponsoring scholarships; the mature seniors also returned to give scholarships to the juniors.

From the first 5 students receiving funding (school year 1999-2000), the program has so far awarded scholarships to 2,789 students with funding from 670 individuals and 52 organizations, totaling more than 27.8 billion VND.

Among them, more than 2,273 students have graduated from university and become doctors, teachers, engineers, entrepreneurs, and key local officials./.
