Delegates at the 9th Global Conference of Young Parliamentarians, afternoon of September 16
Within the framework of the 9th Global Young Parliamentarians Conference taking place in Vietnam, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union was assigned to organize the Seminar on “Enhancing Digital Capacity for Youth”. Secretary of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet said that this Seminar is a good opportunity for Vietnamese youth and young parliamentarians from other countries to share their awareness of the role and importance of digital capacity in the current context of digital transformation. At the same time, through the statements and experience sharing at the Seminar, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and relevant agencies of Vietnam have more suggestions for reference in the process of organizing activities to support the enhancement of digital capacity for youth in the coming time.
The seminar "Enhancing digital capacity for youth" received the attention and participation of leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, representatives of the world parliamentary union, embassies of various countries, representatives of many international organizations in Vietnam; in addition, there was the participation of speakers who are managers, experts in the field of digital transformation, human resource development, young parliamentarians and a large number of Vietnamese youth.

At the Seminar, delegates discussed major issues related to digital capacity of young people, specifically: youth participation in the digital transformation process; the importance of digital capacity for young people in the current context and especially the statements sharing solutions to enhance digital capacity for young people being implemented by Government agencies, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union at all levels, professional organizations and recommendations to enhance digital capacity for young people to continue to bring more value in the future.
Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Minh Triet said that the opinions expressed at the seminar all agreed that digital transformation is a comprehensive and all-people revolution. Among them, the force has the most favorable conditions to do well in digital transformation because of its creative characteristics, ability to quickly access technology and easily accept new things. In digital transformation, young people are the subjects participating in digital transformation, and at the same time, they are also the subjects enjoying the results brought about by digital transformation.
Along with that, from the correct awareness of the role, mission and strength of youth, in recent times, young people have proactively and actively participated in the national digital transformation and have created many positive values. Leaders at all levels and youth organizations have supported and created a more favorable environment for young people to improve their digital capacity and make very specific contributions to the community.
The delegates all affirmed that young people have been, are and will continue to be the pioneering force actively and effectively participating in the national digital transformation.
In the coming time, to continue to enhance digital capacity for young people, opinions at the Dialogue said that countries need to continue to implement propaganda solutions so that young people understand the impacts of digital transformation on human development, the perfection of each individual and the necessary role of digital capacity for young people in the context of digital transformation. At the same time, share effective models and solutions in enhancing digital capacity for young people. From correct awareness, complete and timely information, young people can take positive and practical actions.
In addition, deploy solutions to improve digital capacity through training courses, competitions, awards on information technology, digital transformation; forums, seminars to share knowledge, digital skills, etc. to attract young people to participate in order to improve their skills, find young talents in the field of information technology, digital transformation.
Affirming the important role of youth organizations and young parliamentarians in participating in proposing policies to support youth in digital transformation, improving and upgrading digital infrastructure and digital equipment to meet development requirements, delegates proposed the need to strengthen international cooperation in enhancing digital capacity, in which sharing experiences among youth of countries like the Seminar "Enhancing digital capacity for youth" is an effective method for countries to achieve good results in digital transformation and enhancing digital capacity for youth.
Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee Nguyen Minh Triet said that the seminar “Enhancing digital capacity for youth” was a great success, meeting the set goals. The contents of the seminar will be a useful basis for the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and agencies and organizations interested in the issue of digital capacity of youth./.
