Thailand flew its flag at half-mast for the first two days of August to pay tribute to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.

According to a VNA reporter in Bangkok, Thailand will fly its flag at half-mast on August 1-2 to commemorate General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
According to the Thai Cabinet Secretariat, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has directed all government agencies and state-owned enterprises across the kingdom to fly flags at half-mast for the first two days of August to pay tribute to General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam Nguyen Phu Trong.
Previously, Prime Minister Srettha and representatives of many Thai ministries and sectors visited the Vietnamese Embassy in Thailand to pay their respects to General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
In the condolence book, Prime Minister Srettha wrote: “On behalf of the Government and people of Thailand, I would like to express my deepest condolences to the Government and people of Vietnam on the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. All our thoughts and prayers are with the General Secretary’s family, the Government and people of Vietnam at this sad time.”./.
