On January 27, in Phu Quoc City, Kien Giang Province, the Naval Region 5 Command organized a contest to welcome the Lunar New Year 2025. Participating in the contest were agencies and units under the Region stationed in Phu Quoc City.

According to the contest regulations, the spring reception room of agencies and units must be arranged in a central, solemn place, with suitable tables and chairs, and can be used as a place for political and spiritual activities for officers and soldiers.
The ceremony to welcome spring must be in accordance with regulations. Flowers and fruit trays to decorate the altar must ensure harmony, creativity and uniqueness. Particularly, fruits and worship items used for display must have deep meaning, showing respect and gratitude to the Party, Uncle Ho, previous generations and wishing for good things for a prosperous new year.

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, agencies and units have done a good job of preparing, promoting a sense of responsibility; investing time, effort, and intelligence to decorate the spring reception room beautifully in form, deeply in content, warm with the traditional Tet flavor of the nation and ensuring safety and savings.
The room decoration contest is part of a series of activities to celebrate Tet and welcome the year of the Snake 2025 of the Naval Region 5 Command. This is an annual activity to promote, preserve and promote the beauty of Vietnamese traditions and culture, while creating a joyful, united and cohesive atmosphere in the unit, encouraging and motivating officers and soldiers to feel secure in their work and complete their assigned tasks well.
At the end of the contest, the Organizing Committee will award 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes and 3 Encouragement Prizes to units with exemplary spring welcoming rooms.
