Industrial enterprises soon boosted production to boost growth.

For example, at the 29-3 Textile Joint Stock Company, right after the Lunar New Year holiday, the company's workforce returned to work. According to the company, over 80% of the staff returned to work on the first day after the Tet holiday. Currently, the entire workforce of the company is busy meeting export orders.

According to Ms. Pham Thi Xuan Nguyet, General Director of 29-3 Textile Joint Stock Company, in 2023, the enterprise's industrial production value reached 1,125 billion VND, equal to 101% over the same period; export turnover reached 66.3 million USD, equal to 89% over the same period. In 2024, the textile and garment market is expected to continue to face many difficulties due to the negative impact of the world economic situation. Therefore, along with strengthening the trust of traditional customers, the enterprise will strive to develop new customers and seek new markets to ensure enough production orders in 2024.

Identifying that 2024 still has many challenges, businesses in Da Nang have made preparations and plans to ensure positive production and business results. According to Mr. Shim Woo Hyeong, Deputy Director of ICT Vina Co., Ltd., the company's revenue in 2023 will reach 10 million USD, a significant improvement compared to the period 2020-2021 due to the impact of Covid-19. Continuing the recovery momentum, in 2024, the company aims to have a revenue of about 18 million USD. To achieve the above goal, the company has completed investment in phase 1 production and is implementing phase 2, with a budget of about 277 million USD. It is expected that in the third quarter of 2024, the factory in phase 2 will officially operate, with the goal of producing medical products for export.

In addition to the advantages, many businesses are still facing difficulties and challenges. For example, at a meeting with the Standing Vice Chairman in charge of the People's Council of Da Nang City, Tran Phuoc Son, on the production and business situation at the beginning of the new year, Mr. Nguyen Van Long, Director of Da Nang Tobacco Company, said that despite many difficulties due to the increase in raw materials, in 2023 the company still maintained production and business, paid 361 billion VND to the budget and ensured jobs and income for more than 130 workers. However, currently, the company does not have a new production site because the land the company is using has expired. Along with that, the company's factory infrastructure has degraded and cannot be invested in, posing a potential risk of insecurity.

Receiving information from Da Nang Tobacco Company, Vice Chairman of Da Nang People's Council Tran Phuoc Son acknowledged the efforts of Da Nang Tobacco Company, a company that contributes a large amount to the budget and takes good care of its employees. Regarding the relocation of the company, Mr. Son emphasized that the consistent policy of Da Nang City is to relocate polluting production facilities in residential areas while creating favorable conditions for businesses to operate.

Mr. Son suggested that the Department of Industry and Trade of Da Nang City study and advise the People's Committee of Da Nang City to submit a document to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, supporting the early completion of procedures related to the import of equipment of enterprises. At the same time, he suggested that the leaders of enterprises develop an investment plan when they are arranged to relocate to Cam Le Industrial Park, to stabilize production and development in the coming time.
