According to the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, the dragon mascot statues used in the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024 and other decorative statues and miniatures must not be wasted or thrown away.
Specifically, the mascots were brought to the intersection of Vo Van Kiet and Vo Nguyen Giap (Phuoc My Ward, Son Tra District) to continue displaying, serving the needs of sightseeing, entertainment, and photography of local people and tourists.

The park is designed to ensure landscape architecture, creating a new tourist check-in point, along with essential public utility services.
Currently, the People's Committee of Da Nang City has assigned the Department of Construction to design and build a temporary park on the above land, to concentrate all the dragon mascots and decorative flower scenes for Tet.
This is a 2.8 hectare land, planned to build the financial center of Da Nang city.

On the same day, the Urban Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council issued a document requesting the Da Nang City People's Committee to maintain the flower street and landscape highlights decorated with Tet flowers, lasting until February 24 (Lunar New Year) to meet the needs of sightseeing and enjoyment of residents and tourists.
According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tien, Head of the Urban Committee of the Da Nang City People's Council, during the recent Tet holiday, the city attracted about 402,000 visitors, an increase of 37% over the same period in 2023, which is a positive signal, signaling a prosperous year, developing the tourism industry as well as the economy.

In particular, the Tet flower street on both sides of the Han River is a popular attraction for visitors. In response to the needs of tourists and the wishes of the people, the Urban Committee of the People's Council proposed that the City People's Committee direct relevant units to continue to care for and maintain the Tet flower street and highlights, serving the needs of spring travel.
For the 2024 Lunar New Year, Da Nang City designed 15 flower decoration spots with many diverse and rich dragon mascots, with a total cost of nearly 20 billion VND.
Previously, after dismantling the 2023 spring flower street, mascot statues and miniature landscapes were donated to kindergartens to avoid waste ( Thanh Nien reported ).
