Multiple accidents, driver seriously injured, front of car deformed

On the evening of May 9, the People's Committee of Quang Xuan Commune (Quang Trach District, Quang Binh) said that a series of accidents had just occurred in the area between 2 tractor-trailers and 1 truck, seriously injuring 1 driver.

The incident occurred at around 4:20 p.m. the same day (May 9) on National Highway 1 through Quang Xuan Commune (Quang Trach District). At that time, the tractor with BS 36H-064.94 pulling a trailer with BS 36R-031.83 was moving in a south-north direction when it encountered a red light and slowed down. At that time, the tractor with BS 29-017.26 pulling a trailer with BS 29R-504.10 moving in the same direction behind also slowed down.

Truck BS 37C-357.49 running behind 2 tractor trailers crashed into the back of tractor trailer 29C-017.26, then continued to cause a chain reaction accident, crashing into the back of tractor trailer 36H-064.94.

The incident caused the front of truck 37C-357.49 to be deformed, the driver was seriously injured, trapped in the cabin, and was then taken to the hospital for emergency treatment. The remaining tractor-trailers suffered minor damage.

The incident is currently being investigated by Quang Binh Provincial Police to clarify the cause of the series of accidents.
