Post and Telecommunication Finance Company Limited (PTF) is one of the first financial companies in Vietnam and SeABank received 100% of PTF shares transferred from VNPT Group in 2018. Since receiving PTF, SeABank has continuously invested resources to strengthen its human resources, apply modern technology, and diversify products and services, expand its network of operations to promote the strong development of PTF. Due to changes in business strategy, focusing resources on core areas, SeABank decided to transfer PTF to its partner AEON Financial.
After signing the contract to transfer 100% of the shares of PTF Finance Company worth VND 4,300 billion at the end of 2023, SeABank and AEON Financial have actively coordinated to complete the procedures as required by the authorities and were officially approved by the State Bank of Vietnam in Decision No. 2871/QD-NHNN dated December 30, 2024 on approving the purchase and transfer of capital contributions to the new owner of PTF. At the same time, the two parties have also implemented the work of handing over documents and changing the business registration certificate in accordance with the provisions of law.
On February 3, 2025, SeABank officially handed over PTF Finance Company to its Japanese partner. The transfer of PTF to AEON Financial is an important project in the roadmap approved by the SeABank General Meeting of Shareholders to help SeABank restructure its capital sources, strengthen its financial capacity to expand its scale, invest in technology, promote business activities in a focused and sustainable growth direction, and move closer to the goal of becoming the most favorite retail bank.
After completing the transfer, SeABank will continue to cooperate with AEON Financial and PTF to provide the best financial services to customers. In addition, SeABank and AEON Financial will also carry out more extensive cooperation activities, aiming to become comprehensive partners, while maximizing the advantages of both sides, contributing to promoting the development of the Vietnamese financial market.
PTF Finance Company was established in October 1998 and is one of the first financial companies in Vietnam, currently with a charter capital of VND 1,550 billion, a total staff of nearly 2,000 people and serving nearly 200,000 customers in 30 provinces and cities across the country. PTF's business results in 2024 have a total outstanding loan balance of more than VND 4,325 billion, an increase of 10% compared to 2023 and pre-tax profit of VND 166 billion, corresponding to a growth rate of 173% compared to 2023.
