On April 14, the Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board said that the unit is speeding up the progress of the Ho Chi Minh Road project from Chon Thanh to Duc Hoa to complete it in 2025. According to Thanh Nien reporters, the Ho Chi Minh Road section through Tay Ninh province is currently being accelerated. At the construction site, the intersection between Tay Ninh and Long An provinces, construction units are carrying out the Tay Long Bridge closing project.
Tay Long Bridge, named after Tay Ninh and Long An, is located at km 62+606, across Thach Bich Canal, the administrative boundary between the two localities. The bridge connects Loc Giang Commune, Duc Hoa District (Long An) to Trang Bang Town (Tay Ninh).

Many people in Tay Ninh and Long An expect that when this bridge opens to traffic, it will become an important traffic route connecting the two provinces, especially after the official merger. From there, the travel of people in the two provinces will be more convenient.
Mr. Le Van Ha (36 years old, Trang Bang Town, Tay Ninh) shared: "When seeing this project is about to be completed, not only me but many other people are very happy. Because currently from Tay Ninh to Long An there are only 2 main roads, but these 2 roads are also quite small. If the Ho Chi Minh road is completed, traveling from Tay Ninh to Long An and vice versa will be much more convenient."

The Ho Chi Minh Road project, Chon Thanh - Duc Hoa section has a total length of about 72.75 km (excluding the overpass and intersection with National Highway 22 due to previous investment), passing through the provinces of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh and Long An.
The project was implemented in 2009, but construction was suspended in 2011 and will not resume until the end of 2023.
The starting point of the project is at Tru Van Tho commune, Bau Bang district (Binh Duong), the end point is at the intersection with National Highway N2, in Hoa Khanh Dong commune, Duc Hoa district (Long An).
In the phased phase, the project is invested with a scale of 2 lanes, the roadbed width is over 12m; the road surface width is over 11m. In the completed phase, the project has a scale of 6 lanes, the roadbed width is over 32m. The total investment of the project is nearly 2,300 billion VND.
The project is expected to contribute to strengthening the connection between large industrial parks such as Minh Hung Industrial Park (Binh Phuoc), Bau Bang Industrial Park (Binh Duong) and industrial parks in Tay Ninh and Long An, creating favorable conditions for the transportation of goods from the provinces to Ho Chi Minh City and vice versa.
A few hundred meters from Tay Long bridge, the construction unit is also building an overpass over the intersection of Thanh Thanh Cong industrial park (Trang Bang town).

The Ho Chi Minh Road Project Management Board (project investor) said that the project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic in 2025.
According to the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, this route not only helps directly connect the southern provinces but also opens up economic development opportunities for the border area, especially Tay Ninh - a province with an important position in connecting trade with Cambodia.
