On October 19, Samco officially received the certificate of distributor of the VinFast electric car brand and put into operation a dealership in Binh Tan district, Ho Chi Minh City.
Samco joins the race to sell VinFast electric cars
Samco's VinFast dealership in Binh Tan district is built on a total area of 2,765m2 including a car showroom of 805m2 and a service workshop of 1,960m2 . The dealership is equipped with modern facilities and a team of professional staff, ready to serve customers' needs for shopping, repairing and maintaining electric vehicles.
In its first year, the dealership expects to sell 264 vehicles and handle more than 12,000 repairs, with plans to grow vehicle sales by 10% and services by 5% each year.
With 10-12 on-site charging stations, the dealership creates favorable conditions for customers to experience the advanced technology and smart features of VinFast electric vehicles.
VinFast representative said that cooperating with Samco to open a car distribution dealership in Binh Tan district is not only an important milestone for the two businesses, but also a meaningful event for the electric car enthusiast community in Ho Chi Minh City.
This cooperation is not only about expanding the dealership network but also an important step in VinFast's strategy to bring smart, safe and environmentally friendly electric vehicles closer to the people of Ho Chi Minh City.

Mr. Pham Quoc Huy, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Samco, said that the launch of the VinFast - Samco Binh Tan dealership not only introduces the first electric vehicle line manufactured in Vietnam, but also contributes to promoting sustainable development and reducing CO2 emissions.
He said Samco is orienting its business and developing electric vehicle production. The opening of the Samco Binh Tan VinFast dealership is part of Samco's strategy.
Speaking exclusively to Tuoi Tre Online, Mr. Pham Quoc Huy revealed that Samco continues to promote business research, production and assembly of electric vehicles. The initial product range is expected to be electric buses, electric vehicles for tourism... The electric vehicle lines developed by Samco do not directly compete with the product range of VinFast cars.
Samco is a state-owned enterprise established in 2004, headquartered in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, with the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee representing the owner. At the end of June 2024, Samco had invested in 16 joint ventures and associates, including Mercedes Benz Vietnam.
