Nui Thanh district plans to turn 9 communes and towns into urban wards. Up to now, Nui Thanh town has met 13/13 criteria according to ward standards. Tam Anh Nam and Tam Hiep communes have met 11/13 criteria; Tam Anh Bac and Tam My Dong communes have met 10/13 criteria; Tam Nghia, Tam Quang, Tam Giang and Tam Hoa communes have met 9/13 criteria. In addition to the 9 communes and towns that have built urban areas mentioned above, Nui Thanh district has adjusted the new rural planning (NTM) for the remaining communes.
Nui Thanh district focuses on construction zoning planning. The district has a 1/2000 scale construction zoning plan for Thaco Agricultural Industrial Park (451ha) approved by the Provincial People's Committee. Currently, the district is coordinating with the Provincial Economic Zones and Industrial Parks Management Board to establish 8 1/2000 scale construction zoning plans.
Including: Tam Anh Bac urban area (1157ha); Tam Tien urban, service and tourism area (1374ha); Chu Lai urban area (330ha); Tam Hoa - Tam Tien urban area (1678ha); Northwest urban area of Chu Lai airport (520ha); Chu Lai airport duty-free zone (225ha); Tam Hoa duty-free zone (747ha); Tam Anh 2 industrial park (435ha).
To develop the urban area, along with the approved plans, there are many projects in the process of detailed planning such as Nui Thanh Town Park (2.67ha), Nui Thanh District Commercial - Service - Administrative Center Area (14.2ha), Tam Anh Nam Commune Commercial - Service - Public Center Area (5.5ha), Tam Quang Market Residential Area (8.47ha), Residential Area No. 6 Tam Anh Bac Commune (11.15ha), Residential Area No. 7 Tam Hiep Commune (30.4ha), Residential Area No. 8 Nui Thanh Town (19.67ha), Tram Market Residential Area and Market Street Expansion (27.6ha).
It can be seen that the planning, reviewing, adjusting and supplementing of planning in Nui Thanh area in recent times has created a foundation for the urban development of the district to become more and more orderly, contributing to the convenience of controlling urban development investment, urban embellishment to ensure compliance with planning and urban aesthetics.
Investment in urban infrastructure construction is urgent in Nui Thanh district. Infrastructure construction continues to be invested in at Bac Chu Lai Industrial Park, Tam Hiep Port Logistics Industrial Park, Chu Lai Truong Hai Automobile Mechanical Industrial Park, and Viet - Han Industrial Park.
The 500kV line 2 and Vo Chi Cong street have been completed and put into operation. Many roads that create urban appearance have been invested in and upgraded by the district such as Quang Trung, Do Dang Tuyen, Ly Thuong Kiet, Hoang Dieu... Many residential areas and administrative centers continue to receive investment to complete infrastructure by Nui Thanh.
Mr. Le Van Sinh - Chairman of Nui Thanh District People's Committee said that the locality develops modern urban areas associated with preserving traditional cultural values, preserving the environment and urban landscape.
In urban development, the district always focuses on surveying and investing in upgrading historical and revolutionary relics such as Dinh Phuoc Forest Relic, Nui Thanh Victory Monument, Vo Sa House Relic... Nui Thanh has built many neighborhoods that are typical examples of cultural lifestyle and urban civilization, in line with the cultural traditions of Quang Nam.
