On July 19, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai, said that in the first 6 months of 2023, Quang Ngai tourism attracted 616,000 visitors, an increase of 92% over the same period last year, reaching 85% of the 2023 plan. Of which, 254,000 visitors were served by accommodation establishments, an increase of 95% over the same period last year. Revenue in the first 6 months of the year reached 485 billion VND, an increase of 103% over the same period last year, reaching 59% of the 2023 plan.

From now until the end of 2023, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Ngai will develop products, transfer models of promoting community tourism, and develop destinations associated with the Sa Huynh Cultural National Monument and An Khe Lagoon. According to Mr. Dung, from the beginning of 2023, the tourism industry of Quang Ngai province has directed localities to carefully prepare infrastructure conditions, create new tourism products to attract tourists, focusing on developing sea and island tourism.
Most notably, with a series of cultural and sports events to stimulate tourism in Ly Son district taking place from April and May 2023, many new tourism products have been organized and put into operation by this locality, helping tourists have more choices and experiences.
In particular, coastal community tourism destinations such as Bau Ca Cai, Ganh Yen, Ca Ninh water coconut forest... have attracted a large number of tourists to visit and experience.
