Gold price cooled down today
Last night, the world gold price increased sharply to 2,930 USD/ounce. However, at this price, some investors sold and made a profit. Today's gold price at 6:00 a.m. on February 12 "evaporated" 34 USD to 2,899 USD/ounce.
Gold prices fluctuated strongly today as the market raised concerns about retaliation from partners and the possibility of a broader trade war, after the US imposed new tariffs.
Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell testified before the US Senate on monetary policy, saying the central bank remains cautious about cutting interest rates given strong economic conditions and inflation consistently above its 2% target.
In Vietnam, on February 11, the price of SJC gold reached 93.1 million VND/tael but then dropped sharply to 90.5 million VND/tael. The price of gold rings also dropped to 90.6 million VND/tael.
