Phu Yen Online - Tax sector deploys tasks for the last 6 months of the year

The General Department of Taxation has just held an online conference to review tax work in the first 6 months of the year, deploy tasks and solutions for tax work in the last 6 months of 2023, chaired by Acting General Director Mai Xuan Thanh. Deputy Minister of Finance Cao Anh Tuan attended and directed the conference. The conference was connected to tax departments of 63 provinces and cities and 413 tax branches nationwide. At the Phu Yen Tax Department bridge , the department's leaders and specialized departments attended.

 

According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of this year, the total budget revenue managed by the Tax sector is estimated at 743,003 billion VND, equal to 54.1% of the ordinance estimate, equal to 94.2% compared to the same period. There are 11/20 revenue areas, revenue items, and tax rates that have achieved quite well (over 55%) such as: state-owned enterprise sector, personal income tax, dividend revenue...

 

In the first 6 months of the year, the Tax sector has focused on improving the quality of inspection and examination work to prevent budget loss; strictly controlling value-added tax refunds; enhancing debt collection, focusing on propaganda and support for taxpayers to promptly resolve difficulties and problems, creating favorable conditions for enterprises to develop production and business.

 

Tax authorities at all levels have also implemented tax support for people and businesses with a total amount of more than 19,000 billion VND. At the same time, the electronic invoice system has been well operated with a total number of invoices created of 4.37 billion invoices, nearly 26,000 business establishments have applied electronic invoices generated from cash registers...

 

In Phu Yen, in the first 6 months of 2023, the total budget revenue in the province was 1,739.7 billion VND, reaching 33.9% of the central budget estimate, reaching 21.7% of the provincial budget estimate, equal to 65.8% of the same period in 2022.

 

At the conference, delegates discussed and proposed solutions to strive to exceed the assigned budget revenue target of more than VND 1.37 trillion in 2023. The focus was on continuing to research and propose tax solutions and policies under the Economic Recovery and Development Program; effectively implementing the Tax System Reform Strategy to 2030 and the Tax System Reform Plan for the 2023-2025 period that have been approved.

 

In addition, the whole industry continues to promote digitalization of tax management; strengthen measures to prevent electronic invoice fraud; and manage taxes for e-commerce activities and business on digital platforms.

 

In addition, tax authorities at all levels also focus on timely and effective implementation of solutions on tax extension, tax exemption and reduction, and land rent that have been issued to support taxpayers, contributing to helping taxpayers quickly recover production and business, create momentum for economic development, and nurture revenue sources for the budget...
