Visiting and working at the Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc asked officers and soldiers of Tay Trang Station to actively participate with local authorities in promoting production and reducing poverty for people and ethnic minorities in the border area.
On December 23, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc visited and worked at Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station (under the Border Guard Command of Dien Bien province).
Here, the representative of the Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station reported to the Deputy Prime Minister on the tasks that have been carried out in the past time, including organizing border management and protection in accordance with the contents of two legal documents on land borders, Vietnam - Laos border gates and agreements between the two countries; coordinating with the Lao border guard force to regularly organize bilateral patrols, meetings on the border, and regular and ad hoc talks.
As the leading force in ensuring security and order in the border area, Tay Trang International Border Gate Border Guard Station has effectively managed all types of subjects; handled and resolved incidents in accordance with political, legal and professional requirements, and prevented hot spots and complications from occurring in the border area.
During the year, the Station presided over and coordinated with other forces to build two houses for poor households, give 296 gifts to poor households and students under the program "Helping children go to school - Adopted children of the Border Guard Station" worth 300 million VND; actively participated in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters...
In addition, the unit also actively advises and participates in building and consolidating the grassroots political system in border areas, building a strong all-people border defense and a strong all-people border defense posture, advising localities on economic and cultural development to improve people's lives.
Recognizing the achievements and results of Tay Trang International Border Post in border work, border management and protection, and caring for and helping people in the border area, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc also mentioned the current difficulties and challenges of the border area, such as drug and human trafficking crimes, which tend to be increasingly complicated. Therefore, the Deputy Prime Minister requested officers and soldiers of Tay Trang International Border Post to proactively update information, grasp the methods and tricks of criminals to be ready to respond; support functional forces in fighting crime, protecting border safety, and ensuring the safety of people's lives in the border area.
