On the morning of February 11, a provincial delegation led by Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach came to survey two routes connecting the Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway to Cao Bang city and Ta Lung border gate (Quang Hoa). Also accompanying were leaders of a number of departments, branches, sectors, Quang Hoa district and project enterprises.
The working group conducted a field survey of the starting and ending points of the expressway connecting to the City. Through research and planning, there are currently 3 design options. Option 1: The estimated length of the route is about 23 km, the starting point coincides with the intersection of the road to the People's Committee of Hong Nam Commune, Hoa An District; the end point is at the IC04A intersection of the expressway, Doc Lap Hamlet, Le Lai Commune, Thach An District (route Km66+700). Option 2: The estimated length of the route is 21 km. The starting point coincides with the intersection of the road to the material area in Chu Trinh Commune (City), the end point is at the IC04A intersection of the expressway, Doc Lap Hamlet, Le Lai Commune (Thach An). Option 3: Upgrading and renovating National Highway 34B; estimated length is 28 km.
Next, the delegation surveyed the expressway connecting to Ta Lung border gate (Quang Hoa). According to the design plan, this connecting route is expected to be about 15 km long. The starting point is at the intersection of National Highway 3 with the expressway connecting road at IC05 intersection, Lung Luong hamlet, Hanh Phuc commune; the end point is the road connecting to Ta Lung border gate.
Through a field survey, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach assigned the Department of Transport to coordinate with the Department of Construction and related agencies, units and localities to focus on carefully studying the proposed route options connecting to Cao Bang city and Ta Lung border gate.
For the route connecting Dong Dang - Tra Linh expressway with Cao Bang city, continue to review, evaluate, and study more deeply and carefully than option 2, the expected route length is 21 km. The starting point coincides with the intersection of the road to the material area in Chu Trinh commune (City), the end point is at the IC04A intersection of the expressway, Doc Lap hamlet, Le Lai commune (Thach An), ensuring the most optimal route direction in terms of technology, economy, harmony and creating development space after being put into operation and use.
