In 1991, after leaving the army, Mr. Duong returned to develop the family economy. Realizing that selling eggs for poultry hatcheries was profitable but few people did it, he and his wife decided to change the model. After many years of selling eggs, seeing that people in Tan Yen district (Bac Giang) had the profession of hatching eggs, he went to study and then returned to borrow money to invest in an incubator.
In production, he boldly converted all manual incubators to automatic ones, helping to reduce labor, help turn eggs, maintain stable temperature and humidity, and increase the success rate. In addition to investing in automatic incubators, Mr. Duong's family also opened 2 egg-laying farms to proactively supply eggs to the incubators in a closed process. In chicken farming, he invested in technology to build a closed-loop coop system with a cooling system, automatic coop temperature control, automatic feeding and drinking troughs, etc.
Up to now, Mr. Duong's family's facility has 13 poultry incubators. |
Up to now, with 13 poultry hatcheries, Mr. Duong's family's facility not only supplies chickens in the province but also to many neighboring provinces. On average, each month, his family supplies about 200,000 chicks to the market, with an average selling price of 10,000 VND/chick. After deducting expenses, each year he earns billions of VND in profit.

With his achievements in production and business, Mr. Duong was honored to be awarded the Third Class Labor Medal, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister and recognized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union as an outstanding farmer nationwide.
