Striving for record import-export revenue

Along with Quang Ninh, the provincial Customs sector enters the implementation of its 2024 tasks with many difficulties and challenges such as global macroeconomic instability affecting import and export activities, political and security fluctuations in the world, the world has just overcome the Covid-19 pandemic... However, with synchronous and drastic solutions in increasing revenue, preventing budget losses, expanding and attracting many new import and export enterprises operating through the area, the Quang Ninh Customs sector is striving to achieve the highest budget revenue ever of 17,000 billion VND.

To achieve the set goals, Quang Ninh Customs has directed customs branches to proactively focus on innovating support forms, attracting businesses to participate in import and export through the area; effectively maintaining companion teams, supporting businesses, enhancing interaction, supporting businesses via email, phone, fanpage...; creating the most favorable conditions for businesses to promote trade of goods between the two sides of the border.

From those efforts, many new businesses have participated in import and export activities through the area, and many new items have been cleared through customs for the first time.

Typically, recently, the first batch of bird's nests was declared at the Mong Cai Border Gate Customs Branch and exported to the Chinese market via Bac Luan Bridge II. The shipment included instant bird's nests in jars and refined bird's nests declared for export to China at the Mong Cai Customs Branch by AVANEST Vietnam Nutrition Joint Stock Company. The partner was Dongxing Zhenpin Preferred Trading Co., Ltd (Dongxing - China). This activity marked the beginning of a good cooperation between businesses of the two countries, expanding the official export market for Vietnamese bird's nests to potential markets.

Previously, at Bac Luan Bridge 2 Border Gate (Mong Cai), for the first time, a shipment of 2,430 packages with 21,870 fresh coconuts with a total weight of 23.5 tons was entrusted by Hai Ninh Import-Export Trading Service Co., Ltd. (Mong Cai, Quang Ninh) to export to China for Mekong Fruit Import-Export Co., Ltd. (Ben Tre). The company importing this shipment is Dongxing Huawang Supply Chain Management Co., Ltd. (Dongxing - China). It is known that the two enterprises will promote the export of this item to China through Bac Luan Bridge 2 Border Gate with the expected quantity in the coming time to reach more than 10 containers/day.

By promoting administrative reform, implementing many synchronous and drastic solutions to increase revenue, prevent budget loss, attract businesses, and new import and export items, from the beginning of 2024 to present, the Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department has collected 15,800 billion VND for the budget, an increase of 8% over the same period in 2023. The Quang Ninh Customs sector is making great efforts and determination to successfully achieve the import and export revenue target of 17,000 billion VND this year.

To achieve the budget revenue target, the Quang Ninh Provincial Customs Department directed units and branches to further improve administrative reform, retain businesses in the area; continue to promote support for businesses in the spirit of providing and supporting what businesses need; proactively grasp information, accompany and remove difficulties for import-export businesses; determined to create a healthy and equal business environment for the business community and attract businesses to carry out customs procedures through the province. The Quang Ninh Customs sector is also highly determined to effectively carry out the work of preventing and combating smuggling and trade fraud, maintaining the goal of not allowing smuggling hotspots to arise in the area.
